secondary school days...

were fun. and easy. haha. suddenly realised that eh, i wasn't afraid of studying, and i wasnt a hard working student in particular, studyings were always last minute. wow, how did i managed to get thru O and A levels? i also amazed myself. haha.

my class was A class, sec 3A and sec 4A, one of the triple sciences classes, and we had many prefects! i tink we have 15. and class size was 41. LOL. bcos in Cedar, prefect councillors were chosen in lower secondary. so all the good students were grouped together after streaming.. in the end, my class got 15 prefects. i tink my life as a student wasn't stressed because of tests and chemistry experiments. but very stressful because we cannot eat in class without the 15 prefects knowing. haha!!

i was clearing my drawer when i came across my diary, written while i was sec 3 and 4. not exactly diary, just wrote down funny incidents that happened. and i tink i was more active and hyper in sec 3 and 4. i dont remember much abt sec 1 and 2. probably bcos i was so low profile until i bore myself! LOL. sec 3 was fun. the teachers loved us, because we have the best students, the happening prefects, we joke with teachers and also got good results. our class not nerdy k, haha, we can play like mad!

why am i posting abt stuff that happened 10 years ago. OMG 10 freaking years! has it been that long??? sheesh!!! anyway, reading thru my writings, i recall some incidents, but when i read some entries, i was like "got meh? this thing happened meh? how come i dont remember?" haha.. yah, its good thing that i wrote something then, cos now when i read, its quite funny, and i go "oh, so this happened" sth like that. re-living the good memories.

last time Cedar used to be so on abt track and field. we RULED the track and field world, winning all the trophies. we would have the entire sch down at the national stadium to cheer our track team. and we always come in 1st place. be it 100m, hurdles, relays or long distance, long jumps etc... or 2nd place, when we have 2 participants in the same race. we would have well organised cheers, complete with actions! LOL. so happening back then. and its amazing to see a sea of blue (our uniforms blue lah) cheering together. one day i must go Anfield, to experience You'll Never Walk Alone, wah, see on tv also feel so touching! even Fernando Torres said he was touched by the Liverpool fans. haha.

anyway, this incident, or rather, this conversation happened while on our way to the national stadium. not the finals, but the heats. as in still qualifying stage. last time we can only wear white shoes ala bata brand. later, principal said we can wear white based running shoes if we have PE lessons. so that day we were all wearing normal white school shoes. and it was raining!! our shoes were wet lah, we were like, die! tmr no PE, cannot wear sports shoes. wet shoes tmr cannot wear!! our conversation was somewhat as follows:

Ann: never mind, just wear nike sports shoes tmr, there's nothing to be afraid of.
Jasmine: no choice lor, cant expect us to continue wearing wet shoes rite?
Wanrou: yah!
Yueting: luckily we have Eileen with us, so when we say our shoes were wet, the teachers will believe us. (as in, i was a guai, good, obedient student, never get into trouble with teachers before one. LOL)
Wanrou: but if the teachers spot and catch only Eileen, she won't have anybody to back her up, the teachers won't believe our words one.
Me: don't worry, my words are strong and reliable enough, i don't need backing.

HAHA, and the 4 of them roared with laughters, wondering how come i so BHB and so confident i wont be doubted by the teachers. hahahaha!!

I LOVE THIS GAME!

its got a PC version, but i played the DS one lah. its basically a point and click adventure game, where you pick up items and use them to fix certain things for example, in order to move on. the plot is, the lead character who found the office wrecked and her father missing, possibly kidnapped. and she goes on to uncover the secret of the project her father was working on, and goes around the world, to rescue him.

game play is rather user friendly, i explored around for abt 15 minutes before i got the hang it. and the graphics are quite good. and there are video clips every now and then, cut scenes, very interesting game!

there are little puzzles to solve here and there, thats not the difficult part. the game is actually quite difficult. as in, remember i said you need to pick up items? yah, so on your hands, you might have things like tape, cellphone, tube, salt shaker, pizza, plastic bag, handle, long stick.. etc. i get stuck easily at times, because i duno use what on what in order to trigger a cut scene and move on. so i relied on the game FAQ, haha, but i only check it when i'm desperate. hehe. anyway, to explain how difficult it is, let me quote an example, i had to put the pizza on the dish, so that the cat will come and it. and i have to attach the tape to the cellphone, and den attach to the cat. next i have to put the salt on the pizza, so that the cat will be thirsty and will run to the kitchen to drink water. and so, the phone on her will record conversations of the man in the kitchen. HAHA! before, i didnt know what to do man!

i used like 5 hours of game play time, to complete the game, and when the credits came on, i was in AWE, its like WOAH HOO!! because there's a narrator that tells what happened to the characters that appeared in the game, and mostly they are funny! example, there were 2 guys in cool black suits, they bodyguards lah, and the narrator said they later opened a tailor shop and sold black suits. hahahah!! so funny, and here comes the best part, there's even NG scenes and bloopers and outtakes!!! waahahaha!!! its the first time i come across a game that has NG scenes. hahahaha!! so funny

CSI: Las Vegas...

ok, i'm running out of english tv series to watch. the new episodes of smallville are coming out really slowly, so is ghost whisperer (due to the writers' strike mths ago i guess)... so now i'm watching past episodes of CSI Las Vegas, cos i think the cast is great, and the stories are interesting (altho gruesome at times). 2 words: its COOL!

i was watching episode 5 of season 1, and Grissom's line just blew me away, at the end of it, i was like giving thumbs up and clapping my hands and going WOAH!

Scene: Grissom is searching for presence of drugs in suspect Ethan's jeep. Holding the sample in his hand, Grissom turns to Ethan...

Grissom: What do you say, Ethan? These seeds look familiar?
Ethan: (laughs) You just fished these out of your undies? Look man, if you want to take me, in take me in. But i'll be back before the party's over.
Grissom: Cos you know the law, don't you, Ethan? "Mandatory suspended sentence for first possession" Yeah?
Ethan: (smiling, very smugly, thinking he can get away) Exactly!
Grissom: Let me tell you something. You're twice the age of these kids and most of them couldn't find their asses with a map. You prey on innocent children, concocting god-knows-what from god-knows-where, selling russian roulette in a bottle and you think we came all the way out here to bust you for "possession", you dumb punk?

-a beat, pause-

Grissom: I'm gonna get you for murder. Cool?
Ethan: *speechless*

oh yah, 2 incidents happened today so funny i wana share. first, i was queueing at mcdonalds my house there, i already ordered liao, so i'm just waiting. (oh yah, now they take down ur orders, den ask you to move to the left, another person will get u the food, and the counter continues with the next customer. but the left side is another counter taking orders, so there's not much room to move left, you know? lol) there's this young couple, i would say.. early 20s, one is school girl guai guai look, the guy is ah beng but behaves quite timid-ly. haha. anyway, the girl did all the ordering, while the bf just have the chao kuan face.

the girl went "i want a fillet o fish meal, i don't want the DAA-DAA sauce and ve-gee-der-bers."
the staff kenna stunned. even i also went blur. its like, hello? there are no vegetables in fillet o fish!! LOL. so the staff thought she wants to add vegetables to the burger, so he asked her "which type of vegetables you want?" and points to the pictures. the girl "no, i don't want the ve-gee-der-bers", the staff got it, and key in the order and went away. den the ah beng opened his mouth, in very ah beng chinese "他讲话怪怪的" (translate: he speaks strangely) wah lau! 拜托！please loh you then talk strange man! hahaha

2nd incident, i went to buy orange juice and campbells soup at shop n save my place there. i was looking at the different brands of orange and wondering which one to get. and i saw the No Frills brand of juice. 1 Litre only $1, wah!! so good bargain! then i looked right, and saw the 2 Litres bottle of the same brand, same juice, its $3.60. *pengs* so weird.

then at the cashier, after getting back my change, i asked the cashier auntie (i always buy chips at like 11pm-12mn, and she's on the night shift so she knows me, lol. btw, the shop n save is 24 hours, woo hoo! i don't have to go to the freakin expensive 7-11)... i asked her in mandarin, the 1 Litre is $1, how come the 2L is $3.60?... den she laughed and said she also wondering the same thing! she said normally bigger bottle should be cheaper, but duno why its even more expensive so strange. hahaha!! so funny...

i miss F.R.I.E.N.D.S...

i was watching an episode of Friends last night, and i couldn't help but think, OMG i really missed this sitcom so much!!! the tv series sex and the city also got movie coming out, how come FRIENDS don't have ah? sigh...

the episode i watched was season 10, the one where the stripper cries, and this joey moment made me laughed so hard, even though already i know the punch lines and jokes, joey's expressions were just hilarious:

(scene: Joey's a guest in a gameshow, "the Pyramid")

Host: describe for joey, things you find in the refrigerator.
Joey: (to the contestant) burrha!! they might as well just give us the points.
Host: 20 seconds on the clock, ready? go!

(the answer is "cream")
Contestant: you put this in your coffee...
Joey: a spoon! your hands! your face!
Contestant: its white!
Joey: paper! snow! a GHOST!

kenneth ma's character is a senior police officer, and he has 2 trusty subordinates, their names? Michael and Jackson. hhahahahaha!!! so everytime kenneth gave instructions, its always "Michael, Jackson, 你们去..." so funny!!

now watching D.I.E.

its a HK drama, 古灵精探, the english title is D.I.E., which stands for Death Investigation Extension. quite weird, haha.. the cast includes Roger Kwok, Sonija Kwok, Kenneth Ma. i like sonija kwok, i think she's very pretty, and her acting has greatly improved over the years. i watched her 2nd tvb series, Where the Legend Begins (洛神), and i remember thinking, wah, this girl cannot act! luckily she got the looks and beauty. haha. and now, her acting is so much better. oh yah, Where the Legend Begins was a really good, but sad drama, i cried my eyes out! think i watched it when i was JC2.. hahaha!!

anyway, back to D.I.E., in brief, its a cop drama, and roger kwok's character is someone who's able to see images flash before his eyes whenever he touches the victims' belongings or some evidence. apparently, those images are signals from the victims.. so with the clues, he's able to solve cases lah. as you can tell from the title, roger kwok is very 古灵精怪, and very funny too. Sonija plays a cop woman, who's very chor lor and impulsive, quite different from her usual roles. complete opposite from her role in 3D Angels. i'm very impressed with her acting in this series. almost all the scenes with the 2 of them are hilarious, great script writing man!

also worth a mention, is Kenneth Ma Kwok Ming (马国明). he's handsome, tall. but according to TVB's producers and veterans, he doesnt have the 男主角 look and seh. thats why all his roles are supporting, he was never a lead actor before. anyway, his acting is so-so. still look abit stiff, and the way he deliver his lines are painful to watch at times. and he's so much taller than roger kwok when they stand side by side, kinda funny to see the lead actor so short. hahaha. anyway, kenneth ma's Ah Sir role very stylish. he looks so cool! but abit too much at times, cos when he interrogates his suspects, he still wears his shiny reflective silver shades. LOL. and his hair, wah, very stylish!

the drama 25 episodes, i'm on 21 now, approaching the finale liao. i read reviews that the ending was disappointing. and the producers received so much mails and complaints that they decided to air the extended version of the final episode on 18th April, with possible alternative ending. so i hope someone will upload that special episode on tudou.com haha.

although kenneth ma is still quite wooden to be in a leading role, his acting is much better than our own christopher lee and terrence cao. sigh. anyway, kenneth will be in the next hot wu xia drama 少年四大名捕. its based on the novel The Four Great Constables. kenneth is one of the 4 characters lah, quite leading role. so i'm looking forward to his drama, because its got Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, and Sammul Chan as the other 3 constables. and the novel had already been adapted by china and taiwan tv, so i want to see how HK's one will turn out, since its got quite big cast. haha.

ok ok, i don't know what he's singing about. but i like the song, its a good r&b and up-tempo song, the kind that i like. i think the part where his breathing comes in.. woah, damn sexy! cos i saw his concert, and when he sang this song, his dance moves: AWESOME!!

which reminds me, i need to get justin timberlake concert dvd! his live at madison square garden dvd came out for sometime already, but i just haven't gotten it i keep forgetting!! *screams*

zhao yun...

zhao yun is my favourite character on the PS2 game, Dynasty Warriors. his powers are awesome, and is swords are all very nice. haha. so i was very excited when there's a movie about him. you know the Romance of the 3 kingdoms is a very huge story, the books are like so thick with many volumes, ALOT of characters. i only know abit of the story, from shows and games. and of cos, usually video games don't really depict the true history. hahahaha.. anyway, abt the movie, i was excited, because there's so many characters in the novel and history, and got a movie on one zhao yun! what are the odds? and because got MAGGIE Q! she's so chio and hot! got people say she sucked, because she cant speak proper mandarin. wat the hell give her a break man, she's half american and half vietnam, she's from Hawaii. cant expect her to speak good cantonese and mandarin. to think she can make a name for herself in hongkong, very good and li hai liao!

oh yah, back to the movie 3 Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon. i was quite disappointed with it. 1st, andy lau, with all due respect, was mis-cast. he doesnt have the zhao yun look. don't know what im talking abt? here's a picture of zhao yun in dynasty warrior:

ok, so now u see what i mean? andy lau is not suited at all!!! with the anime and comic book sharp features, i actually think Vanness Wu would make a good portrayal of Zhao Yun. but too bad, vanness played Guan Xing and only appeared 5mins. hahaha. i think the storyline was done quite hastily. its like after the movie ended, it made me felt: huh? that's all to zhao yun's life as a military general big shot? omg. ok, to give credits to the movie, it left me in tears right at the very end, i couldn't help but let a few tears drop. hahahaha... another good thing from the movie was... Maggie Q. i was disappointed she only appeared in the last quarter of the movie. hahahaa!!

ps: kudos to GV Bishan. i watched the 9.25pm show there, and thru the last quarter of the movie, i would say abt 11pm, there was drilling and hammering outside!!! duno where but it interrupted my movie watching!! it was so annoying. andy lau was talking abt his battles and empty life, so emotional, and THEN there's the drilling noise, loudly!! i duno i should complain or commend, cos its like its 11pm and the workers are still doing drillings??

hmmm... this post is long overdue. i keep reminding myself to do a write up, but just couldn't find the time, lazy to find good pictures, and also took me sometime to think of actors i find hunky. haha. btw, i've decided to zoom in on actors who are less well-known, who looked really great, and i think they should be acting more and appearing more on screens. i mean, obviously, takeshi kaneshiro, brad pitt are yummy to me, but its time i "focus" on new-comers and fresh meat. crispy! MuahahHAHhahaha... LOL

this guy is Matt Long. i first noticed him in the tv series Jack and Bobby. he's so good looking! but i don't see him around very much... he appeared in Ghost Rider, as the young johnny blaze... ring any bells? yah, and he was in Sydney White, which starred Amanda Bynes. thats abt all i can remember of him doing "high profile" roles. what? you don't think he's cute? LOOK AGAIN!

OH MY goodness. what a yummy dish! muahahaha...

the above guy is Jonathan Bennett. he was in Mean Girls.. you all agree he's very handsome in it right? the eyes... the eyebrows... and that light smile... OOoooohhHH... hahaha. and he also appeared in Love Wrecked, which also starred Amanda Bynes. man, she's lucky! *envious* LOL

he's a korean actor. and he appeared in My Girl, which is now showing on channel U. he's so good looking! and especially good looking in the show where he's rich, quite humourous, reliable, filial... i'm pretty sure this kind of guy DOES NOT exist in the real world. if have, also not in singapore. sighh... oh, i realised in korean shows, they always show them play squash as their sports hobby. i mean, really? koreans like playing squash? maybe i should move to korea and mix and 混 around there, maybe i can find a nice cute korean guy who likes me. hahahahha.. yes, wishful thinking!!

on the left, holding a glass, is Mia Kirshner. cant really see from this pic, but she's got the most gorgeous eyes ever! and stunning long black hair. she's a terrific actress, but being canadian, she doesnt really do much hollywood stuff, her most "blockbuster" movie is the one where she played the actress that got butchered in the Black Dahlia, which she didnt have much screen time. her most famous role to date has to be Jenny Schecter in the tv series The L Word. she is OMG so mesmerizing in it. *swoons* haha.

on the right, wearing a cute purple top, is Kate French. i think she's so pretty! and amazingly HOT! haha. she's quite a newcomer, so nobody knew or heard anything about her, until she appeared in The L Word... and she plays Niki Stevens in it. her character is like so barbie and vanilla, yet there's sth funky abt her... i duno how to describe lah, all i can say is, even i would fall hard for her! in the show lah. hahaha

ok, anyone who doesn't know who she is, please, let me give you a slap. hahahaha... i don't need to give much introduction for this gorgeous babe, she's Kristin Kreuk. and she plays Lana Lang in the tv series Smallville. i cant help but say, its easy for women to go gay for her! hahahaha.. her looks are exotic, being half dutch (yay!! we have a little sth in common! LOL) and half chinese. i should really marry a caucasian, then my kids will look so cute and gorgeous! hahahaha...

ok. gorgeous legs there! she's Andrea Fonseka. used to be our number 10 briefcase girl in deal or no deal. i was so sad she's not there for the 2nd season. luckily, she's still appearing on tv! today i caught the 1st episode of the channel 5 drama series EnBloc. she looked so good! oh yah, she's the woman of my dreams! in my previous blog entry, i mentioned that i dreamt i was a contestant in deal or no deal and yah... she was there in my dreams, i remember it very well. hehe!!

2 great NDS games... hehe

recently, i'm playing these 2 NDS games: Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Apollo Justice Ace Attorney.

This game is so fun!! the puzzles are really very fun to solve... and its not just maths or IQ type of questions, there's a variety, which makes this game very interesting. i know some games are so one dimensional and boring, i'd give up after like 20mins. but not this, its really interesting. definitely my top 5 games of all time. hahahaha

this is the 4th installment of the Ace Attorney series. the 1st 3 featured Phoenix Wright as the main lawyer character. but as you can see from the game title, now its Apollo Justice, a new attorney in town. in this game, phoenix wright quit the law industry 7 years ago (why/how i don't know yet, only on the 2nd case now) and he plays mentor to this new kid on the block, apollo justice. i love this series! i hope there'll be a 5th and 6th and 7th and many more to come! hahaa

Blonde and Blonder...

i watched the movie "Blonde and Blonder".. sort of a female version of Dumb and Dumber. the movie is... very slapstick and no brainer, had a great time laughing myself silly, perhaps my IQ dropped a little. hahahaha. and denise richards is hot! at least to me, she is hot. i remember she appeared on an episode on FRIENDS, the one with ross and monica's cousin. she had really great hair on that episode, and the way she flipped her hair is like so gorgeous!




speaking of hot actresses, i think the new character in the 5th season of drama series The L Word, is quite a looker. yeah, initially i thought she'll be just another blink-and-you'll-miss dumb ass bimbo character. she's Niki Stevens in the show, and after watching episode 6, i really like her! and she's smokin HOT! i think her character grows on you, its like i cant help but want to see her more. her laughs is infectious, very giggly. hahahaha

oh yah... my pp came on time today. hahahhaha!! so it means that it will not clash with my HK trip... YAY!!! hahaha...

captain planet!!

i got so bored i went to youtube to search for interesting videos/shows to watch. and i thought of captain planet! hahaaha! wow, someone actually posted the opening and ending themes of the cartoon series! i remember i used to love that cartoon, along with teenage mutant ninja turtles and BATMAN! did i mention my favourite comic book character is batman? why? bcos he's the most prominent and famous one without superpowers. all the gadgets were made by him, he's like so independent and human, and he fights crimes using his own human abilities. and in stylish manner! my favourite comic hero.

my brother had alot of captain planet toys, i mean the whole collection, all the 5 characters' figurines. hahaha...

brings back alot of childhood memories...

beef teppanyaki!

it was hx's bday yesterday, we met for lunch at suki sushi at ang mo kio. i was contemplating between beef paper steamboat, or beef teppanyaki... in the end, i chose teppanyaki. and i DID NOT REGRET my decision. it was SO yummy!!! hahaha...



check this out. it came like this. so nice looking! i had to wait for like 10 mins for the beef to be cooked. the wait was worth it, because the teppanyaki sauce is DAMN yummy!! i finished all the sauce man. lol.



we wanted to catch a movie, there were only 4 showing. CJ7, which hx watched and i don't intend to anyway. Ah Long Ltd, she watched liao. Sweeney Todd, i watched. the last was Kungfu Dunk, which i wana buy DVD instead. haha. so we ended up playing board games at the cafe beside the box office. and guess what? we played monopoly, the SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS version! the names of the properties were hilarious, eg: bikinibottom ferry. lol. the houses are in the shape of pineapples. so cute!

anyway, we played the game lor, quite fun. i just hate it when i kenna the "pay $200 tax", its the 4th square after the "GO". i think i kenna that like 4 times, IN A ROW! i hate it when i passed GO and didn't get to collect $200. damn it. haha. but the good thing was, before hx threw her dice, i screamed “等一下！” and i built 3 more houses on each of the orange properties, meaning each place got 2 houses. she buay tahan, cos she's approaching that stretch of road!! hahaha.. and so heng heng, she landed on one of them!! YAY!! remember i kept losing $200 to tax? finally managed to accumulate cash and i built 3 more houses. and hx kenna the SAME SPOT again!!! as u can see the pic on the left, she landed on 3 houses. haha. oh, the red thing is supposed to be hotel, in the shape of a treasure chest. u know, the kind where crabs hide in/around, at the bottom of the sea?


i love monopoly actually, i love playing it on DS too!

finally went to travel agency to book the flights and hotel and everything today. and leaving in 10 days' time! hahaha.. quite rush. cos need to confirm my bro got no more NS stuff.. luckily never book early, cos we wanted to go end of feb. den just found out my bro got sth on on the 27th.. heng!

anyway, kinda sponsoring my bro and mom... so 大出血！！LOL...
so the 5D4N package's got city tour plus lantau island (thats where my mom wants to go) and disneyland and ocean park! never been to HK ever before. so looking forward to the trip! and flying on CX. very good liao, i'm happy, cos my mom wanted to fly SIA initially.. *cold sweats* hahaha

plot in brief: a huge storm causes mayhem in kinda suburban area, dad brought his kid son along to the supermart to stock up on food and supplies. outside of the supermart, a foggy mist is seen getting closer and closer.. until they cant see anything outside except just white. what it seemed like, is aliens attacking the earth. and ppl are trapped and hidding inside the supermart. u can expect to see how the creatures with sharp tentacles feed on the humans, and those gigantic spiders lookalike monsters shoot webs that are kinda acidic, and stings from a huge bee/fly can cause violent death and super swollen flesh. these creatures came about, because the military ppl have this idea that there are infinite universes around us.

to quote a line from the movie "they thought that there were other dimensions... other worlds all around us, and they wanted to try to make a window, so they can look through and see what's on the other side".

ok, and i have to assume that the storm interfered with the opening of the window and caused a rift or portal to open, its then that the creatures crossed and walked into our world. yup, the creatures were scary. but i think for the ppl in the supermart, whats scary is not whats outside. but whats inside. as in, the humans were portrayed as selfish beings, who will do ANYTHIN to each other for survival. 可以看到人类丑陋的一面。see-bay gross and disgusting.

and i thought the ending was... not typical hollywood. haha. as in, its quite a depressing ending. which is quite powerful actually. wont spoil the ending for u (GO WATCH!), i can only say, the ones in the landrover were quite impulsive. 太冲动了！是怎样啊？再等一下不行吗？cannot wait a while more is it???

moral of the story. unity is strength. eh, supposed to unite together to fight the creatures rite, what for doubt and kill each other? sigh 相煎何太急。another thing is, if u sense something is strange or wrong, kaa meh zau lah!! still stand there and watch and wait meh? faster run away to safety! if not sure kenna. haha. last but not least, dun be so impulsive. there's always a way out, just have to keep calm, surely got other ways one. dont give up, until the very very very last minute. 不到最后关头，不要放弃，想不开。haha

i think its worth watching, besides the good special effects and horrifying creatures that are NOT cute (altho they very 厉害), the best part about the movie is, it made me think. hahahha

happy birthday to me...

i turned a year older. yesterday.

and not many remembered. but thats perfectly fine, i'm quite insignificant and very low-profile, so i'm fine with not getting many well wishes or greetings. haha.

sigh.

but, i'm quite sad, cos i feel so empty... it seems i havent achieved anythin major in my life. sure, i graduated from NUS, some told me its quite an achievement.. but so did hundreds of thousands of other people who hold even better degrees than me! haha. and i have no car, no drivers license, no flat, no air con, and worse, no boyfriend! =(

i seriously dread going visiting during chinese new year. and the worse thing is, i'm yet another year older! and so damn single!!! $&%$&#%&#@!!!

hx asked me what i wanted for my bday. i said the same thing as last year (and the year before), that i want a bf. haha. i'll want a partner, it would be great to have someone to love and be loved. the sad thing is, i don't even have a target right now! sheesh! my life sucks. sigh. i really hope i wont be lonely and empty anymore the same time next year... i'm OPEN TO ALL OPTIONS, guys... girls... i'm all ok!! hahahaha.. joking. it will be nice to make more friends too. i need to widen my circle of friends. ha.

only one thing though, loser jerks n bitches wont be considered.

ok, i finally finally managed to unlock the horse, so each time i start a battle, i'll have a horse! hahaha.. eh, not easy leh, gotta do things like kill YanLiang and Wen Chou within 5mins from game start.. or defeat ZhangJi and HuZhen in 45 secs.. i read up some FAQs online, but not accurate one. eg, supposed to kill ZhangRen in 1min, which i did exactly, but the item report didnt appear!! very frustrated. so imagine my WAH!! when i finally get to unlock the horse item. hehe.

and i love the dynasty warriors opening theme! and the victory music. its now my phone's ringtone. hahahahahha...

recently, read the papers abt edison chen's scandalous photos saga. at first i thought: wah, must be some damn boliao person photoshop one. but, when i saw the photos, i started to think, 事情没那么简单！must be real! i agree u can copy and paste the celebrities' head onto some hot chick bodies. but the expressions, cannot be photoshop-ed. which is why i think the "gillian" in photo is THE gillian chung. haha. and apparently, the photo experts have confirmed those photos are REAL. and i chanced upon some website that did some photo comparisons betw the "cecilia" in a toilet shot, and edison's home's toilet. they pointed out that the plant, the cabinet, the toilet seat cover.. all same!!! hahaha..

so far only 3 girls were exposed. apparently there are MORE girls! slowly being put up i guess? sheesh! i duno man, feel kinda envious of edison, since he apparently has been with so many gorgeous women. and if those photos are really real, i duno whether to feel sorry for the girls or not.. cos really, which dumbass would be stupid enough to take these kinda photos? 1stly, they are celebrities, public figures. 2ndly, photos r taken by phone or digicam if kenna lost den i can only say HOR SAY! sure will leak to the public one what! don't they have these considerations at all in the 1st place? sigh...

gross movies...

i was at my grandma's place, watching this show on channel 8... its based on a real life case, set in HK, a cooked head was found inside a lifesize doll... the show tells how the girl was killed and how the police solved the case. dismember the body is already gross n disgusting. cook the head??? and put it in the doll's head??? GROSS!

anyway, me and my cousin started talking abt murders around the world, gross movies etc.. i mentioned Saw... i watched the 1st 3 of the Saw series, while she only caught the 1st 2. i roughly told her the plot of Saw3, and i said i think the scriptwriters very smart, can come up with such an amazing plot with surprising twists.. in Saw 3, the baddie, JigSaw, wanted to test this man, who was obsessed with finding the driver who got away with knockin his son dead. this man later woke up and found himself in a rather empty warehouse. den he found other ppl in the warehouse too, these ppl were related to his son's case. like, the woman eyewitness to the hit n run, didnt report to the police, the judge who freed the driver of all charges, and the driver of cos. JigSaw's game is that, these victims are trapped n locked up. they will suffer horrible deaths, unless the man saves them.

i told my cousin how the victims were "punished", frozen to death n ended up cracking, crushed bones etc.. den suddenly, i paused. for abt 3 seconds. and i said, "i think i saw a cockroach". wah, my cousin literally flew up from the sofa and looked where i was looking. there was nothing. i tot i was seeing things. den, the cockroach appeared!!!! we were like hopping and running away and my grandma was like "what? what??" lol. grandma sprayed insecticide. but no sign of the damn insect. den suddenly, the cockroach was running out from under the table and we were running away frantically and grandma tried to piak it with her bare hands!! anyway, the insecticide started to take effect, the cockroach was on its back, dying. grandma used broom to sweep it out via the main door lah, but the carcass was swept TOWARDS us!! my cousin ran into her room. hahahhaa.. den we started to laugh ourselves silly. hahahaha.. cannot be helped lah, i'm really scared of cockroaches!! they are gross! eeekkks!!!

dinner at pariss...

my auntie and cousin came visiting from holland.. they staying here for 2 weeks, time flies and they'll be flying back this wed! hahaha.. at first i thought my cousin will be so bored that we'll end up watching a ton of movies.. but so far, we only watched one leh... "27 dresses", and she also not say VERY bored, i even play NDS with her. lol. cos her sister (also my cousin lah) came a year ago, she was SO bored, that i watched like 4 movies with her. hahahhaa.. nothing to do mah.

we went to the pariss buffet loh... i think for international buffet, pariss is not bad. except that the food is not say very nice lah.. and its super expensive! oh well, my auntie and my mom have a thing for buffets i guess. lol.

to make my money's worth... i chiong all the crayfish, baby lobster, sashimi, shark's fin, scallop, steak... eh, the cheese cakes are surprisingly yummy! oh yah, i had a difficult time eating the crayfish... my cousin took a photo while i was disecting the shell fish... so scared the thing goes flying...

anyway, my mom to the rescue!

SEE!! thats what my mom's capable of. really power. we were oohing and ahhing over this 完美, in-one-piece meat... woah! whereas the meat i dug out was like in shreds. hahahahaha... den below the crayfish meat is the baby lobster. so cute!

just wan to add on to "little things that amuse me" list.. realised i left out one...

i was at katong shoppin centre the other day, meetin my client. was abt 6pm i tink.. after meeting my client, i walked to the busstop to go back to office. wah, luckily got straight bus man. or else taxi fare will kill me. peak period somemore. den walkin along the shop houses... got alot of katong laksa!!!! hahahahha.. den something caught my eye. there's this dental surgery clinic in front... and its signboard says "Gentle Dental". hahahahah!!! so funny loh the clinic name. hehe

little things that amuse me...

looking back at year 2007, i tink i have quite a boring life. i didnt accomplish any of the resolutions which i set in end 2006. LOL. oh well, whadaya know.. who was i kidding?? hahahhahaha..

i was quite gloomly last year. i tink for this year, i want to be more cheerful and happier. if tats difficult. i wan to at least be less depressed. hahaha. anyway, its only been like 10 days into 2008. and already, there were a number of things/events that really amused me.. that made me laughed.. or made me smiled from inside..

1) Barron Hilton, the chairman of Hilton hotel, reportedly donated 97% of his assets to charity!! WOW!!! and he still has abt 100 million dollars left. WOW!!! freaking rich. and imagine all the faces of the people who'll benefit from his cash! that made me smile from inside. another reason for smiling is, Paris will no longer inherit that obscene amt of money. LOL. although she still has like 5 million to inherit (oh wat the hell?!), assuming the 100 million left is shared among Barron's 20 over grandkids. (oh, btw, i'm puzzled by the western tradition? culture? of naming their kids after the father or grandfather. Barron's father, founder of Hilton hotel, is Conrad Hilton. and guess what? Paris's brother is also Conrad Hilton. Conrad's wife was Mary Barron. and surprise surprise, Paris's other brother, is another Barron Hilton! lol.)

2) i was on train to home after work on the NEL train. i boarded at outram, and this mother n daughter came in at next station. the cabin's rather empty and they were talkin so loudly. the gal received an sms, and she said to the mother "he reached home safely", to which the mother said "ok, reply Congratulations" hahahaha.. tats so funny loh! and after like 20 secs, the gal "how to spell congratulations?" the way they converse is like so funny. and then the door opens.. quite loudly. and the mother was like "wah! kenna shocked! sounds like bomb, don't you tink??" VERY LOUDLY. like wan the world to know she said the words 炸弹, which is a sensitive word lah, seeing the adverts at the stations teaching us to be vigilant against terrorism. and she made tat statement EVERY TIME THE DAMN DOORS OPEN, which was like for the next 6 stops. omg. amusing. and the door wasn't even that loud. more like a lau hong balloon kenna pricked burst. haha

3) Jay Chou. i read i-weekly or sth, and there's a advert on his new movie, kungfu slamdunk. and i just went 傻眼. hahahhaha.. he looked so stupid, almost retarded expression. so funny! the gong-gong look... even more 呆 than initial D. so unlike him loh! ok there are alot of posters for this movie, the one i saw was him with a hood over his head. haha. the amusing thing is, the NEXT page was the ad on his upcoming concert. and he's at his usual, cool. and the lighting was perfect, got dark shades and shadows on his face.. very cool lah. so its a super contrast. my conclusion: gong-gong and cool-cool 只在一线之差. LOL.

4) i finally completed the DS game, Legend of Zelda. i give the game 9.8 points out of 10!! at first i tot its just another cartoonish game. but once i got the gist and hang of it, i got addicted! its sth like a super mario game where u collect items for power etc, with 360 directional movements (as in mario only moves left to right) but Zelda is like u move all around and much more fun. i got sick of yoshi island after 10 mins. for Zelda, its very simlar to the PlayStation game, the Alundra series (which i loved and completed in NUS days), there are puzzles in between... and obstacles and strategy maze in the temples.. like u need to move stealthily to avoid the warlocks from seeing you... and fighting against the big bosses got specific way one, not jus anyhow slash. it took me several tries in order to know how to defeat the boss. sometimes its really difficult. can pull my hair out. but when i complete that mission, sense of achievement sia!!

there's one obstacle that really got me stuck. i'm supposed to shoot arrow at this eye ornament on the wall. but whenever i face it, the eye will be closed. with my back at it, den it opens. so no matter how i shoot, also cannot. i even tried to use my boomerang, throw bombs, all no success! finally, i went to read up on the game FAQ online. turns out, i had to tie a rope between 2 poles. and shoot an arrow at it. the arrow will BOUNCE BACK and hit the eye. so amusing. the arrow will bounce back off the rope!! tats so not logical! no wonder i couldnt get it. lol.

5) the coffee bean at my office building sells their cakes at 50% off after 5pm. and i bought 2 slices today. a mudpie and chocolate of a thousand leaves. enough said. lol.

6) i just ate a perfectly tasty black pepper chicken chop, which i ta-bao from my house de hawker for dinner. the sauce is ooh laa laa!! and i love black pepper. need i say more?

7) ok this one is the the ultimate. can become classic liao. i was with my friend at vivo. on the way home, i brought up the topic abt Britney Spears. with all due respect, i used to like her alot in my secondary school days. everyone in my class was "my loneliness is killing me" haha. tats how popular and likeable she was back then. den tat day, i said i really wonder wats going on with Britney? just wat the hell she thinking? sent to hospital, appeared to be influenced by drugs and booze. sigh. den i said her 2 baby boys very poor thing. ironic rite, mummy so rich, but her life is so messed up. sigh. den me and my friend started to talk abt what caused Britney to act like this.. the next part of conversation simply blew me away, i haven't smiled from inside in a really long time, that also totally made my day. hehe. the conversation was somewhat as follows...:

ME: maybe splitting up with Justin Timberlake?
friend: perhaps the divorce with her husband caused her breakdown.
ME: wah lau! when she married that Kevin-good for nothing scumbag-Federline, she's already off and messed up liao. somemore willing to bear his kids, when all he did was waste Britney's money on flashy cars and endless night clubs partying with babes and wat nonsense. to tink he receives alimony from Britney every month. wat the hell?
friend: huh? Britney's 2 kids are not Justin's meh? i heard the news that Britney is in court battling with Justin over custody of the kids leh."

new year resolutionsss...

happy new year!

so fast 2008... so scary! anyway, there are some things i wish to accomplish n do in the new year 2008..

1) lose weight. yep, definitely need to lose some weight. i've gained like alot of kg and inches added to the waist etc. its time i do SOMETHING. i'll wana go jogging, play squash... my goal is to lose enough to have a respectable bmi AND to be able to wear this pants of mine, which i cant fit into right now. lol.

2) to do well in my job and grow my business. honestly, my sales are ok. and put it this way, my business is growing steadily, my 2006 outperformed 2005. and i did better in 2007 than 2006. in short, so far so good. BUT, its not good enough. i havent won any major awards like MDRT (million dollar round table, a prestigious award in insurance industry). personally, i'm not crazy abt getting awards, i don't chiong sales for the sake of getting an award. i just wan to recommend ppl good products and if in the process, can quality for award, i'll be happy liao. its like a 顺便 thing lah. but, my this thinking started to have a change. what triggered this thought was when i met up with the ex "love of my life". and i realised, what i have and wat i achieved is so far behind this person! we're in the same industry, jus different company, but already own a car, rent condo apartment, and thinking of getting a NEW car (considering audi A4 or bmw somemore) when i don't even have a bicycle!! 我还在 blur blur 搞不清楚状况! 人家已经在事业是那么的高高在上, 我还真是有点在人家面前丢人现眼...

and lately, i suddenly realise wat if my friends and clients 小看我 because i didnt win anythin major? den maybe they think im lousy and dont trust me and wont refer ppl to me? so i started to tink, maybe if i have an award or sth, my clients will tink better of me? or maybe they'll feel good too, because its them who've helped me achieve the award..

so i hope to 攀上高峰.

3) earn more money. more accurate description would be: have more savings. lol. alot of ppl tell me not everythin is abt money. i agree. but when bills come, stomach hungry, when im sick kena illness hospitalised... everythin! u tell me if its not abt money? feel free to disagree with me. i used to tink the poor can also live happily. yeah, sure, but in singapore? i dont tink so. i have to be more practical. i cannot spend (waste) $$$ on ppl who dont deserve it. i cannot spend too much on shopping and things i dont need. i already past the stage where "the more clothes the better" or "blindly buy things for the sake of material satisfaction". shopping to me 适可而止 can liao.

4) travel and holiday. ill wana bring my mom and just holiday have fun and see the world. starting with HK in late feb. i havent been to HK and she's been wanting to go there again. we jus need to wait for my bro's confirmation on his ORD date den i can go book tickets liao.

5) find a bf, partner, love one, watever. guy, girl, anyone! to be not lonely anymore, i need to keep my options open. lol. few months back, a friend of mine wants to "hook me up" with a colleague of hers. and she started to tell me weird things and ask funny questions. but the meet up hasn't happened leh. haha.

6) again, save money!!! i'm moving house, end of the year. so i need to have enough for renovation and the furniture etc. i saw at departmental stores that mattresses costs thousands!! siao! luckily i saw at ikea its only hundreds. thank goodness!! imagine if i need to spend 90% of my furniture budget on a damn mattress. kek sim!

ok those are the six major things i wan to do in 2008. of cos there are other small little ones here n there, but these 6 are my priorities. hahaha

Ghost Whisperer...

is SOOOO good!!!!

im very impressed with the scriptwriters and jennifer love hewitt. she played her character so well that i really believe she is melinda gordon. her acting skills are wonderful.

for starters, melinda (played by jennifer love) owns an antique store and her gift is that she can see earth-bound spirits. these spirits, often confused and dun remember who they were or what happened to them, go to melinda for help. but most of the time, they dont talk nicely to melinda, they often show up looking scary and eerie, and they'll do things like appear outta the mirror with bloody hands n all... supposedly to drop melinda some hints or sth. and what melinda does is to help them with unresolved issues, so that the spirits can get peace and 'cross over into the light'.

that's some background info... this certain episode in season 3 really blew my mind. ok, it begins with melinda n her hubby jim enjoying an outdoor movie thing when a drunk guy passes out in front of them. jim's a paramedic so he went to help him. and melinda sees a lady standing by (a spirit obviously). this lady tells melinda that "he should know", and den asked her to give that drunk guy a stalk of orange flower. ok, at this moment, i tot it be some romantic guy who gets wasted bcos he just lost his wife or sth. BUT when that guy saw that flower, he was shocked. den it was revealed that this lady had been stalking him! *woah*. n it seems like she's stalking him too even when she's dead. *double woah!*

melinda felt sorry for that guy shane, bcos the ghost seemed pretty much psychotic... she went to that gal's apartment, hoping to find her and help her cross over. AND THATS where she finds a letter, stating the girl colleen, had filed for restraining orders against that guy!! shane is the real stalker!! *triple woah*. and den we start to see this guy stalking melinda. the police couldn't do anythin bcos he is a lawyer and he knows his way around the law. anyway, he's labelled a "predator" or sth in the category of stalkers (wow, there are different categories of stalkers!). he isolates his victim, so that there is no one else but him, who's by the victim's side. he does this by manipulation, causing mental harm to the victim's friends n families etc..

anyway colleen is haunting shane bcos she said "he should know how i felt", and she's like stalking him lah. but shane is like so nonchalent, sensing her ghost is around, he sneers at her. he's so creepy!! with all the fabricated stories and his fantasies. i tink he has 妄想症 or sth, super delusional. melinda decides that enough is enough, and she gets colleen to help her in bringing that guy down. bcos the ghost can see watever the guy's doin, melinda is able to get computer passwords n evidence and she spreads this around his office (so that he'll have no one left to be there for him) and finally the police are able to press charges. YAY!

but here's the fantastic part. while i tot everything's done n over, we see melinda goin to the basement of her antique shop to fix the lights (every haunting in hollywood movies has sth to do with basements eh? LOL), and then the guy is sitting there, like waiting for her! just this instant, her phone rings. the following conversation gave me goosebumps.

shane: miss me?
melinda to shane: this is my husband calling
shane: like i care
jim on the phone: melinda, your're not gonna believe this but....
melinda: shane's dead right?
jim: yeah, pills booze... we just got the call. wait, how did u know?
melinda: because he's right here.

OOOOoohhhh i love the expression on jennifer love's face. she delivered the line so well, "because he's right here?" its like *4x woah!!*

and den shane gets up and says "this worked out the best, dont u think? now we can be together. forever."

OOoohhhh goosebumps!! man i LOVE ghost whisperer!!!

its so cooling at night!

ok, my room temperature is 26.5 degree celcius!!! its been so cooling these few days man! i love it!! i havent on my fan for some time, saved quite abit of electric bills, hehe!! and by the way, my house does not have aircon, and we can still live comfortably. and these few weeks have been so cooling at night, that i use my blanket. my feet feels cold rather easily. so yes, no aircon, didnt on the fan, and i still use blanket. tats how cooling it's been. hee.

speaking of aircon, im reminded of sth... tat time i went holland, i asked a friend whether she wants to go along. (cos i tink SIA had a "4 to go" promotion for flights to amsterdam, so my mom asked me to jio a friend, to make up the numbers, haha) anyway, i told my friend that i have a spare room, so she does not need to worry abt accomodation. and the 1st thing she asked me was "got aircon not?" when i heard tat response, in my mind i was like "what????" with lotsa exclamation marks too. how pampered is this girl??? i mean, i tot she'll be concerned with being paisay for 'intruding' etc. but the 1st thing's on her mind is AIRCON??? did she not know anythin abt temperature differences between tropical and temperate zones? i'm sorry but she seems so 孤陋寡闻. anyway, tryin not to sound like she's an idiot, i went "we have heater. we'll be in holland, located in europe. 冷死 already still want aircon??"

ok in the end, due to... i duno, her parents' objection to her travellin to holland? or some other reason i forgot, anyway, i should be glad she didnt go with me. otherwise i'll be so pissed with her all-time pampered attitude n stuff like that.

i got my 2nd baby-G!!

ok. please don't assume i spend $$ like tap water running. my 1st baby-G watch, i got it in primary 4 or 5. it was a present from my mom. it wasnt my bday or anythin, so that time i tot, WAH, so good got present!! den later i found out, its cos she's taking my brother to holiday in hongkong. PAH!! i remember she bought me several cassette tapes (like "now that's wat i call music", yah.. haha) and when she left for airport, she told me i should behave myself, listen to grandma, admire my watch and listen to the songs. hahahahha...

anyway, 14 years later, i bought my 2nd baby-G watch. i still wear my 1st one now n den, it used to be blue n white. now its blue n yellow. hahahah!! 14 years liao leh, white of cos turn yellow lah. but i still wear it, and very much treasure it.

i LOVE the new watch!!!!! i've been wanting to get it since i saw it in the magazines. i wasn't actually crazy abt getting a watch. baby-Gs are expensive!! i mean, most of my watches are the pasar malam $10 kind. eh, can tell time can liao wat, rite? anyway, i wanted to get it because its SHE's special limited edition! i tink the magazine was oct or nov issue. it said it will arrive in dec. wah lau, i was so scared that it will be sold out or wat leh. hahahah...

den on friday (err... 7th dec?) i checked out the casio counter at Tang's. WOW! its on display!! its finally arrived!! i faster 二话不说 ask the sales person to let me try. and after like 10 secs, i said "ok ill get it, could u give me a new piece?" LOL. ppl who know me, should know that when i go shopping, i usually wont buy anythin, or that ill tink for a LONG time. haha. den the sales person searched her drawers, here there everywhere. den she said "sorry, i cannot find where the pieces are, we're very messy now (points to the mountain of empty watch boxes on the floor). could u come back 45mins later?" hmmm... i duno whether to laugh or cry. eh, its christmas shopping period leh. and peak hour! how can do stock check or some other clearin things, and den tell ur customers to come back like an hour later? tsk tsk.. shakes head.

and so, i went to takashimaya. the sales person there more friendly and helpful. i also 二话不说 pointed to the one i wanted and told her i wan a new piece. hahahahha... YAY!!!! finally got my hebe watch. hahahahahha

Hebe's edition is the pink one. luckily hers is the kind that i like. cos ella's is all black, and digital, very man (obviously, hehe) and selina's edition also nice n pink, but its round face... since my 1st baby-G is round face, i'd prefer sth different. so its very 刚刚好 that hebe's is rectangular. hehehehe!!

i heard this song on an episode of Ghost Whisperer (yes, i LOVE this series, its so cool!)... and i really think its a great song. i googled it and found out its by a band call Midnight Hour.. never heard of this band before... nonetheless, its such a good song! *sings* "i'm running away.... i'm leaving this place..."

oh yah, also in love with avril lavigne's Nobody's Home. i love the chorus. sometimes when i just wan to let go and 发泄, i'd blast this song and sing (scream) along. in my room. hahahaha!!

ps: my toe nails are painted purple. PURPLE! some guy friend commented "why ur nails black black?" in a 嘲笑 tone. damn it, i should have told him "yes, because i got poisoned by a vampire, im decaying"

liverpool still in champions league!!!

just finished watching the game. liverpool won 4-1 over porto, which means pool still got chance to go thru the next stage! YAY! wah, the game was really exciting... got heart attack everytime porto tries a shot at goal. den nearly died when porto equalised after torres' header goal. i tot, wah die, pool are gonna be out liao. somemore the news that marseille equalised besiktas in another match in the same group, really thought that liverpool no chance liao. cos if like tat, porto and marseille will progress.

BUT! really hats off to my fernando torres. he's my hero!!! his 2nd goal was, OMG, superb. he's really fast and so skillful! woo hoo!! i gotta give credits to kewell too, it was his timely pass that led to torres' 2nd goal. i was glad he came on the pitch in the mid 2nd half. and better things are coming when crouch came on. I KNEW he will definitely score a header if got nice crosses. den pool got a penalty, when a porto player blatantly handled the ball in the box. PAH! u think referree cannot see meh? gerrard stepped up to take the penalty. no need to say, the ball ended at the back of the net. WOO HOO!! we're 3-1 up!!!

and damn i was right abt crouch getting a goal with his head. so in the end, pool won 4-1. 总算没白费 my efforts to stay up for this match. it was not a boring match, the game was really quick n pacey. both teams were fast in their counter attacks etc. woah. and wat even more exciting, besiktas won marseille!! hahahahaha.. but even so, liverpool still have to win the last match against marseille, anythin less than that, pool may be out. unless porto lose the last match. so fingers crossed!

hmmm... i tried the Hot n Spicy one, and its damn nice!!! considering i'm a chips lover, and very particular abt them, chipster is up to my standards loh! i dun really like pringles. for some reason, they taste really manufactured n so uniformed til its so unnatural. so i dun like. hahaha.

with the normal packet, chipster is a tad expensive compared to calbee and jack n jill.
the big pack one costs $3.20 at 160g, while ruffles' and lays costs $3.30 at 180g....

but chipster tastes really GOOD!

i love 1st person shooting games!

LOL.

i used to think games like counter strike, are silly and not my type. but i've since change my opinion of 1st person shooting games. i played, together with my brother, Spec Ops on playstation coupla years ago. really got a sense of achievement when the whole mission is completed. hahaha. and it was really fun to partner with my brother to beat the enemies.

den my bro gave me his PS, n i played Syphon Filter on it (a year ago or so). i even got to complete the whole game! it was so cool, cos its the 1st ever game on PS that i completed before my brother did. hahaha.

ever since, i tried to find similar games to play, but mostly, i played them only for a while, bcos the gameplay not smooth, or i didnt like the movement n the controls stuff, not user friendly..

den i bot my DS, so havent touched the PS in a long time. except when i play PS2 with my brother (yesterday i won him 4-2 using my liverpool against his arsenal, and he couldnt believe the scoreline.. hahaha). and for DS, i thought there wont be shooting games. cos DS games are usually the cooking mama type. hahaha.

BUT!! out came Call of Duty 4!! woo hoo!! its good!! really good!! i like the controls, movement is smooth, aiming relatively easy to handle. I LOVE THIS GAME! my only complaint is, its too short. i got so impressed that i started searching for similar games on DS. and i found Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, its less user friendly than CoD4, but still a good game. i hate games that require me to run around too much. like castlevania, i get stuck easily, cos duno where to go, cannot find way out. so both Call of Duty n Goldeneye are great games to me.

i mentioned in my previous entry, that this is the one taiwanese drama that i die die must find time to watch. why? because its got 贺军翔 and hebe!! and its finally gonna show soon!!!

just look at that face. ok maybe the hair here looks weird. LOL. but that face, OMG, so good looking!! very handsome features he has. 贺军翔，woo-hoo!

ok i havent got a chance to upload the photos onto my laptop yet, when i do, i will post some pictures here.

anyway, remember i said that i didnt really felt like going away? should have trusted my instints/guts/6th sense man! the friend who jioed me (lets just call him John) and i were sitting in a citroen, driven by John's friend. got another 2 cars along, one's civic 2.0 and another is civic type-r (wah lau, tat car is so chio! white one somemore) we reached into msia abt 5am.. after breakfast abt 7++am, we drove into the highway.. abt only an hour later, accident happened liao.

wah lau, the driver. 3 words to describe him. CANNOT MAKE IT. instead of driving seriously and focused. he kept making stupid jokes, fiddling with his GPS n watnot. i sitting in the back seat totally 看不下去. the normal civic was very fast. we were in 2nd, but of cos the type-r behind wanted to chiong forward lah, so we drop back to last. i tink tats when our car the driver start to panic. cos he very anxious to catch up. my friend John was sittin in front with the driver, i duno if he got constantly remind the driver some safety issues not, cos he was making turns at 130km/hr! crazy! not performing drifting leh, he tinks he takumi is it? also not racing wat! and oh man, u should have seen the way he overtake cars. there are ALOT to consider when u wan to overtake a car or slow truck in front. u have to see far, make sure there's no oncoming car, judge the distance, be familar with ur car's performance, and be sure den can over take ONE car at a time. but sometimes, cannot see the road far he also overtake. i was sitting behind 冒冷汗！squeezed my eyes shut somemore.

when i opened my eyes, the car was losing control liao, swerving left and right on... (get this) the incoming lane!! next thing i knew, we were chiong-ing towards the hill at the right side of the road. i felt the impact of the crash and the car flipped coupla times!! i was ducking down and was trying to protect my head with my hands. cos i know i cannot injure my head no matter wat. anyway, the car came to a stop. i knew i didnt suffer any cuts or crushed bones, no bleeding either. i also didnt knock my head. the burning smell of the metal was awful. was so scared the car will explode anytime, i quickly got out of the car and stood one side, and wait for the other 2 cars (our companions lah) to return. when i saw the condition of the car, so shocked man! the windscreen totally smashed. the front, bonnet, bumper and boot all gone case. even our luggage/bags were flung like 10metres away or sth.

our companions finally came liao, they were also shocked, cos they at first tot we minor accident, or quarrelling with another driver or sth. they were relieved to see 3 of us standing at the side of the road. den after that, i sat in the type-r throughout while waiting for the tow truck to come. many cars slowed down, cos very shocked at the crashed car, or they tryin to take down the car number for 4D, but sorry to disappoint, the car plate duno fly where. some stopped to see if help is needed, they all tot must be fatal accident can.

- these were taken by me, while i was sitting in the type R, waiting for the tow truck ppl to come. remember the car was chiong-ing towards the hill? notice the car is facing outwards now? u can imagine how many times it flipped.

- the guys were examining wats left of the car parts. driver not pictured lah. he went away to make police report.

- i only "panicked" when i got out of the car. why? bcos there were ALOT of red ants! huge ones! one climbed to my face man! was frantically tryin to brush them off. maybe we disturbed a red ants' nest nearby, or we landed directly onto one. hmm...

- u see the back the boot area? totally wrecked. i duno how man. i tot should be the front tats damaged. the back? how? unless at one point the car was vertical... (??). den i was afraid some metal pole or sharp scrap from the boot, would pierce thru the back seat and... *shudders*

now when i tink back, it was really scary. altho i only suffered strained neck (bcos i ducked down too suddenly), no visible injuries or glass cuts (thank god), i still tink it was quite horrifying. and i tink i was very heng too. for several lucky reasons:

1) luckily, when we strayed off the road and lost control, there was no car in front or behind. there was also no oncoming car. the whole stretch of road was empty. if not, imagine if crash onto an incoming car also travelling at 130km/hr... *shudders*

2) luckily, we crashed onto the hill, which has branches, grass n soil. imagine its hard rock hill, or even worse, downhill slope! wah, duno will roll down to where. *shudders*

3) luckily, i wore seat belt. ok guys, always wear seat belt at all times, even if you're a back seat passenger. dun tink only the front ppl need seat belt. bcos if sth happens, what makes u tink u wont fly or be flung if u sittin at the back eh? u need the same protection as the front passengers. imagine if i didnt wear seat belt, duno where ill fly to man. and my head will surely be injured badly. *shudders* my trusty sling pouch was beside me in the car, and i found it 7 metres away from the car. i keep wondering how it flew outta the car.

4) luckily, nothin happened to the engine. no explosion no fire or wat. i remember on the way towards the hill, i didnt scream or panic. i was very calm. buang liao, even managed to remove seat belt and slowly 自己开门出去.

5) luckily, when the car finally came to a stop after flips n turns, it was upright. wah, imagine the car was upside down, it will be difficult to get out. i remember the seatbelt was really tight, my butt didnt leave the seat an inch when the car was flipping over in the air. so if upside down, once remove safety belt den will fall back down due to gravity, and my head will probably knock the floor (err.. the roof of the car lah) liao. den will have to slowly crawl out of the car.

6) luckily, i only suffered neck strain, which i recovered 3 days later. wah, the next day, my neck hurt like hell! and i applied alot of tiger balm. thankfully my neck muscles very 争气, recover fast. the couple in the civic type-r was saying luckily im super young (to them lah), haha. i remember tinking (when the car was swervin left n right) 'no crushed bones, no blood, please!!'... so really thank goodness

7) luckily, nothin happened to my bags n pouch. even tho they were flung far away. my hp, my DS, my mp3 player, all ok. wah! i remembered sth, i was playing my DS in the car leh. den i got a feelin tat i shouldn't play, tat i should be holding onto the thing for u to grab at the side door. wah, heng man, otherwise my DS sure gone case.

the rest of the journey, i sat on the type-r. i love tat car! it was one of my dream cars to get. practical one lah, cannot expect me to buy porche or ferrari in singapore rite? and the driver was more 稳重 and safer too, at least he will slow down when doing turns. straight roads he chiong and chiong safely one, the max he went was 225km/hr. the engine roar, damn shiok. but of cos, at first still got a bit phobia when at turns lah (cos the accident happened when tat stupid driver speeding at a turn), but after some time, i felt this driver really careful and i felt safe. somemore got his gf beside him to keep him in check, remind him to go slow etc. haha. i got so comfortable i slept alot. hahaha. the car was a roadster, so obviously, it was real bumpy, cos ur supposed to FEEL the road. so bumpy and i still can sleep! lol.

anyway, next time, i should just trust my instints. if 有不祥预感 den just trust myself. luckily nothing happens to me. if not, i duno how will John explain to my parents. bcos he was the one who kinda "forced" me to go (he said "no choice, cannot find another person to go"). and the driver? kaoz. he's gonna get a 1 to 1 car replacement (insured under AIG 1st year mah) loh.. he went back singapore immediately (while the rest of us continued with the trip) to settle the car stuff. he was, apparantly, kek sim (heart pain) abt his car parts. tink he paid quite alot for the modifications n watnot. kek sim my ass! he should be thankful nothing happens to his passengers! sheesh. btw, i heard he's test driving new cars. wtf.

i tink i wont be talkin to John for a long time. and i hope i wont see that driver friend of his for the rest of my life too. hmm.. wait, maybe i should demand some compensation from him first, for his reckless driving n behaviour, that could have gotten me killed.

so the 成语： 吉人天相，死里逃生... can be used to describe my experience. very 贴切

going to penang/cameron highlands over the weekend. i was kinda "forced" to go... hmm.. more like no choice have to go kind lah. sigh... anyway, i will be back monday...

BY THE WAY, liverpool won 8-0 over besiktas! i got a shock when i saw the cover on the newpaper earlier in the day.. hahahahah... tats a really crazy scoreline for a champions league game.. siao one. not that i'm complaining, because at least pool won! hehehe

finally done with this HK drama..

it took me a long time to finish this drama... cos i didnt have time to watch my dvds these months. hahaha. this drama plot-wise is ok.. the evil characters are really evil, want to give them a slap loh. lol. there were a few twists here n there, like someone is actually someone's illegitimate child, den another someone turns out to be from FBI.. a sweetie pie is really an evil n horrible woman etc.

but to me, the biggest surprise was this particular character, all the while i thought was the only good person in the family, the only one who would know who's wrong/right, and who is willing to punish his bratty son when others keep protecting n covering up the spoilt kid's ass (wah, this good for nothing son, sarcastic mouth n kiam pah face, bth!)... but turns out this "good" person is the biggest baddie! i should have seen it coming, but i didnt, until it was revealed towards the end. so was quite impressed with the script writers in this case. haha.

now i'm watching "fathers and sons".. its got all the actors/actresses i like. bobby au-yeung, tavia yeung, wong hei, yoyo mung. really good acting they have, can play any kinda role, and tavia's hot! hahaha.

Drawn to Life: i only just started to play this, like 15 minutes yesterday. its quite interesting, cos need to do drawings.. hahaha

Tiger Woods: i love this game!! i managed to upgrade my equipment to full, now all my stats are all 25/25, i'm better than tiger woods' character in the game! hahahaha.. and so far i've won $2 million, won some challenges and i've 5 PGA titles. its so fun!! almost got heart attack when i got my birdie streak trophy ball. birdie streak is 6x birdies in a row, thats so difficult to achieve loh, so can understand my excitement. the only 3 trophy balls i didnt get are: Albatross (tats 3-under par, which means must finish a 5-par hole by using only 2 strokes, so difficult loh! i get eagles i happy already), Hole-In-One (siao, how can hole in one? i do a one-on-par-4 green is very good liao) and Back-To-Back Eagles. these 3 trophy balls so hard to get.

Now i'm playing CSI: Dark Motives. i played the 1st installation of this game on PC before. i played it when i was in my cousin's place in holland, hahaha, the PC version was quite fun. so now i'm playing the... err.. 2nd or 3rd sequel to the CSI game series. "dark motives"... hhmmm sounds interesting already. hehehe!!

old singapore dramas...

recently, i've been tryin to tink and search for old dramas that were nice, i watched alot of dramas when i was young (like kindergarten and primary sch) while under the care of my grannie, bcos my mom was in holland, hahaha. so i remember watching shows like 金牌师爷，昆仑奴，飞跃巅峰，早安老师，爸爸怕怕，奇缘，迷离夜 (wah lau, who can forget the theme song? the intro music already creeps me up, hahaha) and many others, i cant recall the titles.

yah, last time 古装 period drama quite hot and actually quite nice to watch. my favourite was 最后一个大侠！haha i tink til now i can still remember the plot, and the memorable "arms-extension-kungfu" and the bad guy's Purple Evil stroke. chew chor meng's good buddy, under the misguidance of his evil master, learnt the purple kung fu and 走火入魔 and become the new 紫罗刹 (or sth, haha). i love that show so much, i can still remember the theme song, “为什么武林高手都要做天下第一...” and the chorus is like “为什么？为什么？” hahaha.. its a pity that singapore dun produce 古装片 anymore, last time such dramas were really nice leh..

i really like 陈秀环! i like shows with her in it, 金牌师爷 was so funny, i wish i could find it somewhere online or wherever and watch again, haha. and OH, i remember my 表姐 always call me 朱乐玲 的妹妹, bcos our names only 差 one word, hahaha. i realised i quite like fann wong in the past, the 新阿朗 era, even though i tink the show is crap, (i dun really like alex man, golden horse or not, i dun like him) fann wong's character was actually very likeable, oh and she sang with my then idol jeff chang "别让情两难..." hahaha i also like 解连环, wah, tat one classic man!

recently, happened to stumble upon 不老传说，hahaha.. wah, chew chor meng's hair was really classic, i distinctly remember i didnt get to watch this, because then, my brother was brought back to singapore, and he was really scared of vampire and ghost shows, so the tv cannot be on while this kinda dramas are on, haha. so now i can watch! eh! edmund chen's in it too, he's so handsome and rosy, and he still look the same now! wow, really 不老传说, hahaha

let's see, still got wat old dramas worth mentioning...

双天至尊 OMG who doesn't know that drama? i remember watchin this in primary sch, and after exams we'd still go to school but no lessons at all, so play games all day, and all of us were tryin to be like 言飞 and Luo Qifang playing with the dice usin containers, hahaha!
天师钟馗！who else remembers this? i love that show!! it always starts with 钟馗 laughing loud, HA HA HA, den enters the theme song. hee

ok, not all old dramas are nice, some were.. erm.. not my cup of tea. haha.

the BUANG case of all-time: 金枕头，OMG til now i still dun get why and how can 2 beautiful girls (fann n zoe) fighting over a guy called Ren-Niang? the name already puts me off. and the ending scene was ridiculous, 3 of them listenin to the golden pillow. hello?? its just a stone. i'm wondering if its even gold in the 1st place. sheesh! lol.



ps: i tink i'm allergic to banana skin. lol. last nite, i put a banana into my freezer for like a half hour, i like the icy taste of fruits, ice watermelon is my favourite. i was peeling the skin and eating it when the banana skin started to have condensed water (eh, jus out from the freezer lah, surely got condensation) and my hands were "tainted" with banana skin water. hahaha. and the next morning, my fingers were red and quite swollen, very VERY ITCHY! small little spots of rashes started appearing and it ITCHED LIKE MAD! i literally painted my hands with calamine lotion man! wah lau, didnt know my skin wood be so sensitive to banana skin. i didnt notice this before, cos when u eat banana, its dry one wat, even if the banana skin touched my hands, its only the outside tat touches my skin, u know, cos u peel it outwards, u wont get to touch the inside of the skin. last nite's incident was cos, the water made it worse, so the erm juice of the banana skin manages to seep into my pores i suppose. hahaha.

so yup, my fingers are still itchy now *scratches*

new shoes!!

finally bought my canvas shoes. YAY! so happy!! hahahah...

i actually wanted to buy a greyish one with pink threads n laces initially, but i realised it'll probably get dirty easily, cos its rather light grey.. so after lotsa browsing and consideration, i eventually bought this black one. hehe

i am SO looking forward to the 3rd installation of Phoenix Wright. so exciting!!! i loved this game so much that i play the 1st n 2nd phoenix wright AGAIN n AGAIN, every now and den. haha! oh, sth occurs to me, i wonder if huixin has completed the "jammin ninja" case. hmmm... i highly doubt so, hahahahahaha!!

during a talk show in china, SHE said 她们以前看起来很怪, and they were shown their first ever mv "beauty up my life" as sort of a 精彩回顾. 3 of them looked at the big screens behind them, very 专注的眼神... den comes a scene in the mv where Hebe was in the centre, doin her solo dance, the following conversation took place:

i kinda like the new prudential tv commercial, its in the website too, so got time please check it out, hehe. the commercial is not cheesy and over the top. i actually tink its quite 贴心 and close to us... like it can apply to anybody, u know wat i mean? i tink it should be on tv starting from.. today? i first saw it during our annual final sprint event held at expo.. oh! and class 95 and yes 933 are supposed to advertise for prudential. if i remember correctly, should be the morning drive session on class 95 and for yes 933 is whole day, haha, i should make an effort to listen to the radio one of these days.

"我爱你" is a song by SHE thats currently on repeat mode on my ipod. these girls can really sing! i think its the first time that im actually impressed with a girl group/band. haha. anyway, this song is so good and easy on my ears. i didnt really paid attention to this song, until i saw SHE's concert on dvd, and this was their ending song. i really like the chorus, especially towards the end where the lyrics goes: "哪里都一起去，一起仰望星星，一起走出森林，一起品尝回忆" the backing vocals were powerful and it felt like a 大合唱, very big choir feel, like very grand.. duno how to describe, its really a nice song. and the mv was so moving, i actually cried. the full length 12min mv was Oh! 太感人了...

金钟罩铁布衫 is another old song by SHE, and i LOVE it. its such a cute song, and the mv was even cuter. and the mv's making-of clip was so funny, hebe's a beng-ish and very 台客 guy in the mv and she was so hilarious in the 制作花絮, totally man 到全场的人... hahhahaha!! go watch the mv, its so funny i laughed til 爆, especially the very last scene, they forcing chunks of bread into ella's mouth. hahahaha

remote control lost...

the location of my dvd remote control is currently unknown. where is it???? i always put the remote controls in one place, together with the tv control, hi-fi... now its gone missing! why?? *cries*
