trying to watch 珠光宝气 "Gem of Life"

ok/ the picture is a little small. haha. currently watching "The Four" diligently. "moonlight resonance" has ended its run in HK, but i've yet to watch it! sigh. anyway, the next big show to follow up on "moonlight" is the mega star studded "Gem of Life". i think its 82 frikking episodes!! sheesh. i've watched the 1st 2 episodes, its nice! but moses chan and bowie lam and bosco wong have yet to appear. only the 3 sisters were introduced. maggie, gigi lai and ada choi. wah, these 3 sisters on the surface seem very glamourous and rich, but they all have broken marriages (all the 3 men are not popular actors, more like care-le-fare, haha)... and gigi lai is the most pitiful so far. ada choi has major insecurity issues, while maggie is very misunderstood. 2 episodes only, and i'm like so kek-sim liao. LOL. and still got 80 episodes to go!! yikes.

Eagle Eye

i watched the movie last Thursday... the 9.50pm show, with my cousin and brother. my cousin came to visit singapore again. and he asked me the same question he did last year, "whats new in singapore?" i was like "errr.... singapore flyer?" LOL

anyway, the movie was quite nice! lots of action and the effects were realistic. some would find the storyline unbelievable and the plot being lame, but i thought otherwise. i thought it was kinda interesting. i don't wana give away too much spoilers, but i was peeved that the person, who gave the "go ahead" instruction, got away. haha. the basic plot is not original, it is similar to I, Robot and Enemy of the State, strangely both with Will Smith.. why didnt they cast will smith in Eagle Eye? haha. i give the movie 4 out of 5.

after the movie, it was abt 12 midnight liao. still got bus lah, but need to change, direct ones all left liao. LOL. while waiting for the bus, we suddenly have the idea of calling our 2nd uncle, who's driving taxi. heh heh! and all 4 of us went to eat the famous bak kut teh at Balestier there. at first, i didnt really know where its located, my cousin said his friend brought him there last year, he also cannot remember where, he only remember got a photo of Andy Lau outside. when we were along the road, lookin for the shop, driving slowly lah, den we saw a bak kut teh shop, but with a giant cardboard poster of Moses Lim. my uncle asked if its this shop. we were like, eh! moses lim and andy lau very big difference leh! LOL. anyway, we found the shop further down the road, and inside, there's full of celebrity photos. and i mean, u cant even see the wall tiles. its all covered with photos! haha. the food there is nice!! shiok!!

i like S.H.E's new album!

i went to the CD shop, in the early afternoon of 23rd Sept, the date that S.H.E's new album is released! yeah, i know i may be over-enthusiastic, but i wanted to make sure i got the gift that comes along with the CD. in taiwan, there is a gift for those who pre-order... but in singapore there's no pre-order, the gift would accompany with the 1st batch of CDs sold. errmm.. yah, i just wanted to make sure i got the 1st batch, so i chiong down to the records store. *rolls eyes* yeah, i know! LOL

anyway, i got there, and guess what? the stocks havent arrived yet! WAH LAU! nevermind, since i had to go to CPF board to settle something on behalf of my cousin and then i needed to go to the library to return books. kenna fined $1.80!!! damn it. they sure know how to make money out of fines and ERPs and whatnot.

by the time i returned to the CD shop, it was like 4pm, and the deliveryman just came, so i faster chiong to queue at the cashier. there were like 8 ppl in front of me, and abt 5 behind. they ALL buying S.H.E's album!! woah! hahaha... so happy finally got my hands on the album! YAY! i got home and told my brother abt it, and abt ALL the ppl queueing to buy the CD, he was like "wah, got ppl as siao as you?" cos he was saying i abit crazy to wana get SHE's album on day of release. HAHA..i like Hebe's pose here. she said she suffered back cramps trying to pose like this. LOL. oh yah! and i try to reach home by 9pm every day now, because i wanted to catch them on the online FM... yeah, they just set up a 网络电台, which starts monday-saturday at 9:11pm. they are so funny and hilarious! once, selina mentioned that its not good to dig nose, because just like ear wax, it will drop out naturally, there is no need to dig intensively. Hebe replied "我迫不及待想把它挖干净，等它掉出来还得了？" i tell you, i almost burst out the rice in my mouth. (i ate my packet cai-peng (菜饭) in front of my laptop in my room) because the way she said it was so matter-of-fact funny, and i had the exact same thoughts, because it really feels awful to have the nose full of stuff, you know... hahaha!! love her!

少年四大名捕 "The Four"

is finally showing!!! hahaha... i just wish i had more hours a day to catch my dramas. i've yet to watch Moonlight Resonance, Fated to Love, Your Class or Mine 尖字攻略，and ALOT others, wah lau!!! especially moonlight resonance, its the "sequel" to heart of greed, i remember i was talkin abt it being on air finally not long ago, den now, last episode liao, the series already ended! sheesh! and i still want to watch Charmed season 6, Smallville finale season, Prison Break season 4, CSI new season... WAH!!!!! i want more time time time!!!

i'm an angry consumer...

i ordered a 6-piece nuggets meal, UPSIZED, to be taken away. and when i got home, to my horror, this was what i saw:

it was like only 3/4 filled!!! i swear i did not drink a single drop before i took this picture, and it most certainly was not photoshopped. i almost wanted to run back downstairs and scream to the staff "is this your idea of an upsized drink??"

i felt so angry!!! and cheated. spoil my day.

Galileo...神探伽俐略

ok, the last japanese drama i watched was, Heaven's Coins... years ago! hahaha. i actually think jap dramas are alot more watchable than korean dramas, because they only have like 10 episodes or so for each series.. compared to those wah-lau-eh-super-draggy-long korean dramas. haha. but for some reason, i dont watch jap shows leh. hmmm...

anyway, i chanced upon this drama, i read its synopsis and found it rather interesting. mysterious cases, involving the supernatural.. i like! so i'm trying to watch, maybe 1st episode, then see how. hahaha...

不良笑花

ok, i am going to try to watch this in my free time. nowadays, whenever i have free time and not working, i play my NDS, watch my dvds... and some shows on youtube..

currently am catching HOTSHOT, but show is only one episode per week, so ok lah, doesnt take up much time. i think i have like so MANY dramas i haven't watch loh.

- Prison Break season 3 (season 4 now showing liao! yet ive not watched 3...)

- Fated to Love, alot say very nice, but i'm not so keen on it, so may give it a miss.

- Heroes season 2, wah lau, i dragged this for like so long, until now havent even caught a single episode. lol

- Ghost Whisperer season 3 i watched midway only, due to the strike, it was on a break halfway.

wat else... like got alot of taiwanese dramas leh, cant seem to recall for the time being. haha. got hot chicks and hunks one, must tell me!!!

S.H.E's new album coming soon...

i can't wait to get my hands on their new album! hahaha.. i think pre-order available on 11th sept... then official release is.. i forgot.. 23rd? hahhaa..

anyway, yay!!!

yummy steak

WOoo hoOOOO!!!

teppan-yaki

my favourite Sliced Beef with chili.
i only have 4 words to say:

"the best food, ever"

haha. the sauce is like OH MAN! delicious!! i can eat this for 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year! ok, tats abit boring, so maybe not. LOL. but i really love this sliced beef with awesome sauce. i was devastated when the bishan J8 outlet moved. cos bishan's the nearest to my place. den now, i have to go either tampines or wisma loh. or sometimes yishun when i'm in the north area. hahaha. anyone knows other outlets pls inform me! heh heh

Friends: The Movie

"The highly anticipated film production of TV series Friends has finally been given the go-ahead, MailOnline has learned.

Cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation 'within the next 18 months', according to insiders.

The actors have been inspired by the recent success of Sex And The City, which recently hit cinemas worldwide."

that was the reports on daily mailonline and The Sun. don't know true or hoax, but i really hope to see the 6 friends on screens again. hehe

家好月圆

woo hoo... the blockbuster HK drama of the year is finally airing liao...!! haha. for the record, this is an indirect "sequel" to Heart of Greed. as in, the main cast is there, but the story is not connected. yah.. haha

Hot Shot

i've waited for this taiwanese drama for like, forever. Jerry Yan is so handsome! okok, wu chun is pretty, but not my cup of tea. i prefer the more man kind lah. hahaha..

.

言承旭好帅！！！can't wait to see him play basketball... *faints*

hebe was in singapore 2weeks ago...

and i DID NOT know!!!!!

hebe was here alone to promote a dental product she endorsed... wah lau eh!! how come i didnt know???? why weren't there news or what, 我一点都不知道！！！

if i knew, i would have gone to the airport... and go suntec, just to catch a glimpse of her... she is my goddess! hahahah

very sad.... want to hammer my head, 摧心肝... very upset with myself. sigh....

好怄哦！！！

because if the 3 of them come singapore to promote their album or what, surely got ALOT of fans. that time they were at IMM (i think) for an autograph session. i saw on the news, wah, the queue is like damn long. and i mean, REALLY long *faints*. so its rare that Hebe is alone at a promotion... aiyah, wasted lah...

trying to watch this!!

i'm trying to make an effort to watch this taiwanese drama... "蜂蜜幸运草" ("honey and clover" in english).. there're quite a few taiwan idol drama that i wanted to watch, but either no time, or don't have the URGE to watch them. hahaha.. like 命中注定我爱你，翻滚吧-蛋炒饭，many others i forgot the titles already... the only one taiwan drama that i sincerely and diligently watched recently was "斗牛-要不要" because got Hebe!! haha.. now that all my ang moh series have ended their run (CSI, smallville, ghost whisperer - just to nane a few) and while waiting for new seasons to arrive, i shall just watch these taiwan ou xiang drama... hahaha...

WOW!!! holland won france 4-1!!!!

4-1

.

thats the scoreline that Holland beat France by. i'm really surprised how well the dutch team are performing!!!! a few days ago, i posted that although i support holland and hope they win, chances are really slim cos under marco van basten, they are really floaty and shaky as a team. even my cousin (he resides in holland) said we no hope, because we're in the group of death, with 3 other strong teams. and also because holland has always been underachievers... BUT HOW HOLLAND surprised us!!!

.

first we won 3-0 over italy (i'm still shocked by the performance, because the italians are reigning world cup champions!) we lost to them in the euro 2000 semi finals penalty shootout. so its revenge!!! hahaha

.

next we won 4-1 over france. WOO HOO! france were world cup runners up and champions of euro 2000. and we beat them, 4-1... !!! amazing stuff from holland, all the 4 goals were beautiful, and the build up and movements were breath-taking..

.

so i'm dedicating my post here, to the orange Dutch team....

.

GO ORANJE!!

"Superb Dutch floor Italians"

"Netherlands outplayed world champions Italy and romped to a 3-0 win in the first clash of the heavyweights at Euro 2008. A controversial goal from Ruud Van Nistelrooy, a superbly executed volley by birthday boy Wesley Sneijder and a third goal by Giovanni van Bronckhorst late in the game sealed a comfortable victory."

Gio van Bronckhorst celebrates his goal against Italy

that was the report on soccernet. WOO HOO! i watched the game last night, and i couldn't believe my holland can actually win the latest world cup champions italy. and its an impressive scoreline too! hahaha.. so happy with the Dutch team's performances, their counter attacks were brilliant, and dirk kuyt was fantastic, providing 2 good assists, he usually wasn't so good at liverpool. haha.

goals from van nistelrooy, sneijder and van bronckhorst. all nice goals! especially the 2nd, wah, how he hit the ball on the volley like that, and managed to beat buffon! buffon is the best goalkeeper in the world, and the dutch team managed to put 3 balls past him! miracle man. really cannot believe it! haha..

so now its, go ESPANA! and GO NEDERLAND!

EURO 2008 Austria-Switzerland

its finally here!!!!!

hahaha... i'm now watching the match between turkey and portugal, its a good game so far, MUCH better than the opening match between switzerland and czech just now, that game was boring. this one is better, high tempo, good counter attacks. and most important, both teams attack like mad. exciting to watch! haha.

i'm gonna support SPAIN to win the tournament. yeah, i've always supported Holland, but they are in the group of death, along with france italy and romania. holland have great players past and present but they just don't play well when together, and van basten (they say) is not a good coach, so very slim chance of them winning. even my cousin say they no hope. haha.

anyway, back to spain, i hope they play well and win! they had been so underachieving in the past, the spanish la liga is one of the best leagues in the world (re: barcelona, real madrid) so spain have plenty of great players in the national pool, but they just lack something.. i hope they win this time, and the man to help spain will be fernando torres!!! i believe he'll be top scorer. haha

hand gestures...

well... i find hand gestures very fascinating. because its universal, and EVERYONE in the whole knows what you're referring to, regardless of the languages. like thumbs up. and well, everyone knows the middle finger. hahahaha..

my post today is to vent off a frustration i "suffered" sometime ago. i was so totally pissed, i was black faced to that person the rest of the day, i wondered if he knew. anyway, i was in gentings (i think) with ruyin. is actually my guy friend asked me, so i jio-ed ruyin along. i really can't remember what the incident was, but i tink we were posing for the camera or something, and i thought the "V" sign was too boring (as in the index and middle finger V shaped, like a "2"? haha) so i posed with the "i love you" sign, like a thumb, index and small finger, you know, very rocker, haha.

after the picture was taken, my guy friend went, "that's a sign for the Devil... you know, as in satan?"

you know how defensive i can be. so i went, "no?! that's a i-love-you sign, very common"

friend continued, almost like looking down on me tone, "HA! you NUS university student you also don't know that's a devil sign?"

at this point, smoke already coming out of my head, i mean, he wasn't even rite abt the handsign, i was so angered that i nearly exploded. but his friends were around, i didnt want him to look stupid, so i didnt argue with him. why bother debating with this ignorant moron? i thought. so i just kept quiet. damn, i should have just retorted back, "excuse me, i'm sorry, i'm supposed to know EVERYTHING because i'm a university student, so you diploma cert guy is much smarter. btw, devil's horns is THIS (signs) " aiyah! why did i keep quiet and not say anything? not even to prove my point? wasted.

for your information, guy friend, the picture on the left, with ONLY the index and little finger up, can be a representation of the devil satan, because of its horns look.

the sign i made, is WITH A THUMB out. this sign's original idea was made using a combination of the letters 'I', 'L', and 'Y' from american sign language, and it consists of extension of the thumb, index finger, and little finger.

yah, its stupid that my mood was ruined because of a hand gesture. its retarded. LOL. but i was really angry at that point. because IF he had talked nicely and politely, or even asking me "eh? i thought that was the devil sign... blah blah" i would have replied and corrected him very nicely too. DID HE HAVE TO BRING IN THE FACT THAT I'M A UNI STUDENT? i mean, i'm sorry i got the brains and luck to study for a degree in NUS, while you're only an IT diploma holder. MY FAULT IS IT??? if he was right, i have nothing to say, have to be humble. but he got his facts WRONG! duh.

moral of the story:

"Get your facts right before you go sarcastic on ppl, dude."

.

真是没事找事讲，吃饱空闲硬要得罪人.. *shakes head*

JACK 'n JILL...

i'm obsessed with buying the jack n jill's potato chips recently... on normal occasions, i'd eat it in appropriate amt.. like 1 pack every 2 weeks or sth, its my favourite brand actually, LOVE the salsa flavour. but because now got Euro Cup promotions, got free soccer jersey metal handphone chain thing!!!! *screams* so i bot 3 packets in 2 days. hahahhaa.. so far, i've collected Czech, Italy, and SPAIN!!! yay!!! so happy they're the teams i quite like, especially Spain! when i saw its Spain in the 3rd packet i bought, i was like YES!!! and punching in the air. hahahhaa..
.
since england is not gonna be in the Euro 2008 (lousy man!!), the team i'll support is Spain! they have so much talent in the squad, i think they're the most under-performed in international matches. got Fernando Torres, David Villa, Joaquin, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fabregas, Puyol, is Raul still in international football? and their keeper is Iker Casillas!!! omg! fantastics players, how can they not win? haha.
.
and of course the Netherlands!!! also got very good players, but not strong as a team. most of the time its the selfish wingers lah, especially that Robben fellow, every time chiong inside the box on his own, instead of passing to stikers who are unmarked, and den lose the ball, damn frustrated. sigh.
.
so now i'm determined to get the Holland handphone chain. if only i have x ray eyes; hahahahah!!!
