i heard this eason chan cantonese song on mtv channel some time ago, i remember the song title 浮夸 (fu kua) i love the tune but i didnt try to find the song or anythin. den recently heard the song again, i immediately fell in love with it, cos this time i paid attention to the lyrics and the way eason sang like damn sad n dramatic, the chorus goes: "你当我是浮夸吧, 夸张只因我很怕"... i duno man, but i felt i can relate to it... hmmm...

Penang: Day 2

breakfast! the usual stuff loh.. scrambled eggs, porridge, bee hoon soup, sausages, hash browns.. hahahaa.. i tink our day tour today started at 10am. went to penang hill, up on cable, good thing we went early can see the view, cos half hour later, it started to drizzle and all the mist and fog came, cannot see anything!!

after that, we went to temples and stuff, saw the bronze guan yin, the shui4 fuo2 and a burmese temple. we came across this interesting thing.

its got 9 'bowls', each labelled with words like happiness, marriage, success, high education etc. so we gathered all out coins to try our luck, hopin the coins will get it. eh, not easy leh, cos the thing keeps turning.. i only managed to hit the outside of the 'happiness' bowl, got a 'tong!' sound. den all the coins end up in the water lor. hahahah!!

oooh, we went to the toy museum. its got ALOT of toys n figurines!! got TMNT, x-men, fantastic 4, feng yun, corpse bride, underworld, warcraft, death note, sin city, chucky! (wah, the life size doll damn scary!), street fighter, dragon ball, spiderman, batman, starwars, disney's... so many!!! even got buffy, charmed, britney spears, andy lau! hahahahah really eye opener. i wish i had stayed longer, to slowly take pictures. hahaha..

nite, we went to gurney plaza, another big shopping centre. had dinner at chicken rice shop. very full!!!! but we still ta-baoed food back to hotel. this time we bought fried oyster, char kuay tiao and prawn mee (again). hahahhaha..

next mornin, 9am coach ride back to singapore liao. haven't even stepped onto homeground, i already tinkin of where to holiday next. hahahhahha..

Penang: Day 1

the coach left at 10pm golden mile, we got free upgrade to the 16 seater bus with massage chairs, and got personal TV!! *screams* n its not showin ulu movies leh, got fantastic 4, harry potter 4, robots... haha.. n the seat is super comfortable, i can even fully stretch my legs without touchin the seat in front of me. no picture to show, because at tat time, my hp low batt. haha. reach the hotel close to 9am.. the hotel room toilet got bathtub! so happy can! rested awhile n den headed for komtar (the so called 'eye sore' in the city, haha) n pranglin shoppin centre, which are nearby. wah, walkin under the super hot sun and at quite fast pace, was worried i faint on the road, cos didnt eat anythin yet, hahaha. after tat, took cab to queensbay mall, its quite far n the taxi charged 25rm because its airport price. kaoz. but the mall is quite big!!

630pm went for the night tour, on a small van. the road hoh, super winding, i felt like i was in mt akina in initial D, except the driver didnt drift. hahaha!! the nite market is like pasar malam... and den got this restaurant tat is like a ship and it says they serve the best steak.. hmm.. *strokes beard* really meh?

i cant remember wat else i did or went to, that night. OH! tabao-ed some local food back to hotel for supper. asam laksa, prawn mee n rojak. the prawn mee the soup is damn nice! and the chili made it taste even better! damn shiok! hahahahah... yum yum

i'm back!

ha ha ha!! will write abt my trip when i have the time. so many things needed to be taken care of. tellin to myself "eh eh, dun be lazy! better go do ur work!"

to penang!! setting off tues nite, 10pm coach. hahhahaha.. i tink ill sleep throughout the journey ba, den i don need to worry abt wat to do durin that 10++ hours of bus ride. wahahah!!

finally solved the problem... my brother did all the settings.. hehe! now i can surf in my room, wirelessly!!! hahahahha

went to Funan

met with Law to go funan, i need to get wireless modem router and since i noe nuts abt all these IT stuff, law kindly offered to go with me, hehe. had lunch at swensen's, i wanted to go the thai restaurant, but don't see it anywhere so we tot it closed down liao. after lunch, we went up escalator n there's the restaurant right in front of my eyes *pengz*. nevermind, can go there for dinner. hahaha! went challenger, since i got membership. but price also not say very cheap after member discount. ooh, i was checkin out some bag for my laptop, i wanted one tats like a folder, but with handle. den i saw one i like at a shop somewhere. den law suggested to go challenger n see if they have. WAH! n they really have the same bag! so i saved $3.40! thanks man! i like e flower, so nice can! oh no, jane is goin to say i'm not pro.

bought the modem n stuff, spent slightly over hundred bucks lor *sim tiah*... next we went TCC for coffee... den have dinner at the thai restaurant. wah i like their kai lan, its damn nice! and their tom yum soup, its the clear soup kind, very nice. didnt take any pics bcos too excited n busy with the food. hahahah!

im having some problem setting up the modem. duno wats wrong leh, duno if my PC lan port got prob or wat. when i plugged the cable in, the modem doesnt light up, meanin its not receiving connection fr PC. den the lights around my PC lan port also doesnt light up. it will light up when i off the PC altogether, so weird! den i try with my laptop to connect to modem, it says cannot establish gateway, den cannot complete set up lor. *screams*

tonight cannot sleep liao.

ocean's 13: brad pitt

i jus wanted to say, brad pitt is so good lookin!! u know the very beginnin where he was carryin his bag and walkin towards the plane, i was commentin to huixin "wah, 他走路都很帅!" haha.. and he's so cute n dope in the movie. hehehe!!

new earphones!

collected the receipt for the penang trip at chinatown. looking forward to the trip man! i met up with guangming, had lunch at fong kee, or sth. the chicken chop is quite nice, haha.

met up with huixin, AGAIN! for 3 consecutive days! yesterday was to catch ocean's 13. today is to check out courts, ikea n giant. and she was late for half n hour!! 你给我记住! haha jokin.

i finally got new earphones!! the one i used for 3 years was the panasonic hang over the ear kind, i love it! cos it wont hurt my ears at all.. but it gave up on me, end up one side no sound. everyday usage mah, i use it when i sleep too. haha. then i bought the 塞 and insert into the ear kind, also panasonic, its damn good loh! but the pricings a little funny. the one i wanted, the label says its $22.90, not bad rite? i asked the sales person to take it out for me, den he said its actually $49 and ALL the price labels are wrong. well, not all la, maybe like 4 or 5 labels. haha! *pengz* den i bought this one for $29.90. good buy!

dinner at Phin's. i took a picture with my phone, but when i moved it to card memory, it jus disappeared! *sads* anyway, i had steak, AGAIN. haha!! ok, because huixin bought 2 uncooked chickens from giant (each weigh like 1.3kg lidat), she had to go back home to put down her chickens, so i went with her loh, and she let me use her wireless, haha!! ooh, and she helped me to do the input chinese characters de settings, so i can type in chinese now! yay!

we went to Timbre for drinks, with huixin's sis n her friend. quite a nice place, got live band, altho its a little warm, cos its quite outdoor n no aircon, only coupla fans around. quite enjoyable, the band's quite good. n we left at like 2+am. sorry pic too dark, hahaha!

food "adventure"

eating good food, is an enjoyable hobby for me. tat is why "diet" does not exist in my vocab. haha.
i like thai food, esp tom yam n phad thai. i ate thai express's, lerk thai's, sticky rice's phad thais.. den it occurred to me, why not have a "eat phad thai fr different places" campaign myself? haha..
i like MOS burger's fries, brewerkz fries..
and i love steaks. juicy juicy!!
so i have decided. i wana try all phad thai, fries and steaks from all over. hahahahahah!!

my first ever laptop!

yay! i bought my 1st ever laptop, very happy and excited abt it. i was deciding betw compaq, toshiba and sony vaio tx series. i wanted a 12 inch one or smaller lor, i chose toshiba in the end bcos its white (so strike out compaq) and more affordable (so sony vaio is out). i couldnt get used to the speed! too fast! hahah.. my pc ram is like 640, but this is 2G, i was 'horrified' to know how fast the system can start up. wahahaha!!


i went to the PC fair on thurs, mainly to check out the price. and man its damn crowded! huixin was very disappointed there wasnt a nintendo booth. hahahaha i've been psychoing her to get a DS Lite months ago, ever since i got it. heh heh! we went back again on sat, this time is to buy liao. i went back to the same guy who 'entertained' me on thurs, when he saw me, he was like "oh! i remember u, and ur friend! i remember the 2 of you together" hahaha.. it was $100 cheaper! yay!! after buyin it, we went to changing appetites, i had the "heaven in the mouth" mudpie, it was GOOD! and very filling loh. so when we join nelly, pearlyn n jessie at kenny rogers, i only ate 2 side dishes. can u believe it? duno who say my stomach is like a bottomless pit. hahaha. oh yah, marina sq there got this toys fair thingy, and pearlyn kept takin pics with the powerpuff girls board. *yawnz*. they needed to shop for a pressie for a friend gettin engaged, i wasn't really in the mood to see things, cos i was lugging the huge plastic around leh. next, we join with more friends at haagen dazs esplanade. wah, spent so much on food and drinks today. siao liao.

i met jane on 3rd june sunday. i owe her a treat, so i treatin her sakae lor since she insisted on japanese food. haha. the journey to wheelock was scary, cos i was standing throughout n i felt my brain freeze and very pale. so worried i was gonna jus faint in the train. when i got to the control, i sat down at the quiet side, hoping my blood wont all rush to my legs. doctor said tats probably why i saw stars n blacked out 2 weeks ago at ntuc supermart (yes, it was embarrassing. n i was buyin milk tea the next day when the bubbletea auntie said to me "tat day u fainted isit? i was queueing behind" wahahaha she recognised me, sheesh!) anyway, when i felt ok, i literally ran asap to find jane. haha. she said if she didnt hear from me, she'll prob get out of sakae and walk along the road to see if anyone fainted. wahaha!! sushi time! i gave specific instructions to her, tat she can only eat at most $20. damn corny, she kept sayin i very ngiao n watnot. eh, got ppl treat u very good liao hor!

we went shoppin. i finally bot the strawberry body lotion from bodyshop. i had been wantin to get it since i was year2 at NUS. hahah!! jane tried on this dress which looked like sth she owned, quite nice lah so i told her to buy lor! since 116 freekin dollars is probably her normal shoppin purchases. wahaha!! i wanted to get a bag, but couldnt find one i like. Oooh! got this duno wat military parade marchin on the road, jane was like "why are they marching?" "wat's the occasion?" "why are they wearin uniforms?" and a whole bunch of questions, some repeated. (u get the picture) and i jus looked at her like "kao, do i look like i know??" she jus laughed without me sayin anythin. erm... siao siao. MOS burger, had milk tea. den we talked crap. haha. and she suddenly said she wana go the PC fair, cos she wanted to check out mp3 players. for a moment i was like, jane and crowded pc fair dun match!? hahaha.. but we went anyway, and it was CROWDED. ok lah, at least i got to redeem my lucky draw coupons which i forgot that day. and i asked her to help me throw into the 2 boxes. i hope she brings me luck man! jane, i will giv u the prize if its a mp3 player. haha. super crowded man the fair, i was surprised jane could tahan squeezin thru the ppl. ok my laptop was sellin at yet another $100 cheaper. sigh. kek sim. checked out sony and samsung. the sony one very cheo! but she couldnt decide which to get lah. alamak. oh yah! we have the same fear abt tat freekin long escalator! haha.

hot fudge choc brownie on sizzling hot plate!

olio dome for dinner. the choc brownie is damn nice! sizzling hotplate one loh! and the nonya chicken is yummy! really well-marinated. and we talked crap lor. and gossiped abt this couple 2 tables beside us. hahahaha. went carrefour to get my mineral water. she felt like pukin, so i suggested sng buay. but the sliced cut one was too high, both of us couldnt reach loh! no choice had to settle for the whole piece one, but seedless lah, so still ok. walkin back to mrt. suddenly i find the whole thing very funny, 2 girls walkin n eating sng buay. haha ok me siao liao easily amused. went to find serena at fila, jus nice timing she closing shop and we went home together loh. quite a fulfiling day. didnt expect to spend like 9.5 hours with jane in a day, but surprisingly, i didnt go crazy. hahaha joking.

went to book the penang package. the boy who did our booking very blur blur.. contact number also can copy wrongly, so dope. they don't accept nets/cards, which is quite weird. anyway, after that, we went to the hawker centre, i ate wanton mee. the sauce got very strong pork oil taste, which was erm.. edible lah. shups had fishballs soup. actually both of us have diarrhoea, but we still insist on eating with chili. hahaha!!

off to clarke quay to meet huixin. i was early, she said she mite be late, so i sat down (yes i sat down on the floor) and read my 8days. was getting to the cheo bu article when my stomach started to give me trouble and i had to run to the toilet. haha. went to brewerkz loh. we ordered kolsch, fruitbrewz, golden ale, garlic herb fries (which i love) and huixin had her brownie, which she said tasted salty (???) huixin kept complaining i drinking sooo slowly, haha. i was like, how come i feel a lil light headed? 4 tequila shots or 5 glasses of vodka lime also cannot bring me down, 2 pints how can??

next stop, chicago steakhouse @ cineleisure. yes we travelled to orchard jus to eat steak. actually i wanted to eat steak lah. hahaha. today crapped alot of lame jokes. huixin kept making fun of my hokktonese. cos i always mix up hokkien and cantonese (classic eg, i said "soon2" for boat, cos its "xun3" + "zoon2") haha u get the idea.. ok i finished my steak. my hotplate was spotless!!

even the sauce also gone, i was TAT satisfied with the steak. but hx only managed to eat half her chicken (and some breast meat).. and i fin the rest. hahaha.. siao liao.

ok tat'll be all for today's events. still navigating n tryin out stuff on this blog. i've yet to decide what i will be writing on my blog. will it be like musings? or bitchings? funny incidents? like a diary? i duno man.. see how lor.

i actually wanted to start a blog a long time ago... but i was tinkin wat if no one reads it den no use/point leh? hahaha... den yesterday i was talkin to huixin abt it, seems fun n ok, so i decided to set one up. haha

step #1 was to come up with an address, a URL... alot of crap came out, i was left with tears and choked on my ice water at chicago steakhouse (which serves good steak)... eg: iwanatryallthephadthainfries.blogspot, harjionggai, cantokien, hokktonese, alot lah, laughed so hard til i cannot remember. in the end, i thought of "lamestone". because i'm quite lame, and i stone! and its a play on the word "limestone". hahahaha!! *faints*
