lost in blue 2

the DS game i'm currently playing is Lost in Blue 2.

i finished the 1st one in like a week, with the help of cheat code! haha. this game is abt surviving on a deserted island, because of a shipwreck. my character is a boy name keith (i tink) and when i roamed around the beach, i found another survivor! a girl name skye. i like this game because its so cute! stay in a cave, go around collecting twigs for firewood and coconuts to fill the tummy, searching for tools to make traps to catch animals for meat, hunting for deers n boars with self made bows n arrows. its so cute!!

wat i didnt like abt the game was that, animals are difficult to hunt. i have to set a trap and wait for some cow to appear. or when i walk, sometimes, a deer will be in front of me. i cannot go too near to it becos obviously it will run away. so i have to see which way the deer is heading and set the trap in advance. here's the thing, the deer is heading east, chewing grass on the way, so i placed the trap den wait for it to walk a few more steps den hurray!! but suddenly, it turned and headed north instead. wah lau, ANGRY! waste my time and trap materials.

2nd thing i didnt like was, the girl, skye, is super dependant on keith. wat frustrates me is when i explore for ways out of the island, there are obstacles such as huge boulder in the way, and i have to take skye with me to move it. dragging skye along is frustrating!! cos when i climb up a step, its very fast n easy. but for skye to go up, i have to carry her and throw her up on the step, before i can climb up. and when i'm up, she's still sittin there, in the same position as when i threw her up. keith has to pull her up, before she can continue walkin. wah lau, vomit blood! alot of time wasted on pulling and carrying skye, macham she's disabled. lol.

anyway, i played it with a cheat code, ie, i have infinite life power for skye, she can never go hungry or thirsty. HENG man! otherwise i have to keep worrying abt skye dying on me den game over. after gettin past jungles, solving 7 puzzles in the ruins area (cracked my brains out with the last puzzle man!). keith discovered there are... *drum rolls* other ppl on the island!! lol. but they are some military ppl, the bad guys lah. so i have to stealth my way to steal the speedboat key from the boss. damn funny. and i got outta the island with skye after surviving 55 days on the island. sweet!

the sequel, lost in blue 2, is a relatively new game, n i cannot find the cheatcode for it. so i have to play it like normal loh. game play is almost the same, the character's name is Jack and the girl is Amy. new mini games are included. i have to cook stuff like in the game "cooking mama". quite time consuming lah. cos previously, i jus press "eat" and the characters will eat watever's available. story's the same, jack has to explore the island, leaving amy in the cave or taking her along to complete certain tasks together.. the game developers got smart, this time they made the girl efficient and not incompetent. taking her along is not a chore and she can help me make baskets (to trap small animals) outta the bamboo i collected and stuff like tat. she's more like a helper this time round. which i like. skye was totally wrecked man. lol.

yesterday, i finally get to the savannah area. and im supposed to build a treehouse. it requires in total 28 logs, 30 ropes n 10 leaves in 7 stages of building. damn it. there are only 4 logs in the jungle, and they appear again after like 3 days. ropes was more difficult. i have to collect vines (which there're only abt 5 in the jungle) and den ask amy to help me make into ropes. time consuming loh! but it gives me a sense of satisfaction when i see how beautiful the cave becomes, after efforts to collect materials n upgrading the furniture etc. the characters used to be like lying on leaves. den now they sleep on queen size beds with furs! lol.

meanwhile, i have to catch fish, get twigs and fend off wolves alligators n tigers attacking me. lol. wolf is fun to fight with, because i can jus punch them with my bare fist, dun even need to use spear weapon, and when i've won, whats left behind are 3 things: meat, fur and lard. so hilarious!! one moment i see this wolf running at me. next thing i see are 3 squarish objects. damn funny.

the only downside is, sometimes amy cannot take care of herself while im away. imagine when i'm so far away in the swamps tryin to get across, amy's life n hunger status on the top screen is in danger mode. if drop to 0%, a cutscene will show amy collapsing and GAME OVER. so i have to RUN all the way back to the cave and make her drink n eat. wat the hell? there's 20L of water in the barrel (i found it on the beach after a stormy rainy day) in the cave and 5 packed food on the shelf man!! the water was collected from the river via a 1L water bottle on me. and the packed food (worth abt 30% of easing hunger) was of cos prepared by me. why doesnt amy drink or eat any of that? OMG.

i've now spent 78 days on the island. still only at the swamp area. no sight of civilisation. sigh. if amy continues to 陷害我, i wont be surprised if i spend years on the island man! hahahaha.
