metamorphosis...

err. its a big word, for a tv show title tat is. hell, i havent heard the word since my secondary 4 pure biology class. lol. and i duno why they chose that word for a cop drama. sometimes, i tink the english titles for chinese drama sound ridiculous. haha

anyway, i tink its a pretty good drama. for channel 8 standard lah. lol. plot wise, its so-so. but i tink the crimes were sth new.. as in, we never had that in past channel 8 dramas before. i actually tink the supporting cast was good, most of the small characters were able to bring out the story well.

what i didnt like abt this drama was, there were ALOT of close-up shots of the actors' face. and i mean really CLOSE, the face takes up the entire tv screen! i was tinkin, why the director zoomed in on the faces all the time?? to expose the actors' big pores n black heads? some scenes were really weird n uncomfortable to watch. for example there's a dialogue between 2 ppl. the shot/scene switches back n forth, person A to person B, all i can see is the actors' face. no background, no neck, jus the face. really awkward.

2nd thing i didnt like was, ix shen. i'm sorry, its nothing personal, i'm sure he's a nice guy, but i jus dont like his acting. i mean, how can u act with 死鱼眼? i dun have a problem with small eyes guys. because i tink Rain looks pretty good. and hk actor 王喜 is pretty charming, so small eyes is actually fine for me. but ix shen's... i duno wat to say man.

ok, so far the show has got 2 main stories. the 1st being the gang triad thing, the 2nd being the current one, with dismembered bodies. and i realised sth, both cases were not really solved by the cops. yeah, they eventually figured out who's the culprit. but in actual fact, didnt really get to catch n detain them. culprits either managed to run away (despite under heavy scrutiny n surveillance, yes such drama) or jus died. hahaha.
